Like This...
For so long we've needed this time to ourselves,
Away from the daily routine,
Run away with me now, leave it all behind,
Be impulsive.....come see what I mean,
To start with, an appetizer, maybe wine and cheese,
To whet our appetites,
Then some dessert, to top it all off,
Ice cream sundaes of course, a delight,
A little more wine to set the mood,
A prelude to the evenings romance,
Looking so beautiful as you stand here before me,
May I ask you, would you like to dance?
Laughing and talking all through the night,
Feeling like kids now and then,
Thinking so fondly of the years that have passed,
Seeing myself in your eyes once again,
Nights like this bring us closer together,
Intimate moments that are near to our hearts,
The ties that bind us for the rest of our lives,
Can't be severed, nor torn apart,
I wish this evening would last a lifetime,
Be frozen in time, never perish,
Let's keep this night, close to us always,
Memories that we'll always cherish....
