Valgaav
The most tragic figure of all Lina's encounters. Valgaav was only a child when he first saw the gold dragons destroy his race, the Ancient Dragons. Feared for their potential to destroy the world, the Ancient Dragons were all killed, except Valgaav who happened upon Gaav's "good graces." Hurt and wounded in the desert, Gaav kills Valgaav then brings him back as a mazoku.
Possessing quite a bit of Gaav's power, and his own powers as an Ancient Dragon Valgaav is a formidable foe. Unfortunately Valgaav is a bit headstrong and doesn't hesitate before rushing head-long into battle. He is quite able to hold his own against Lina and Xellos.
Valgaav takes Gaav's rebellion two steps further, in that he not only hates mazoku, but ryuzoku and humans alike. His ultimate goal in summoning Darkstar is to destroy everything. He does however show mercy to his lackies Jiras and Grabos. Occasionally he also shows mercy to Filia, but that's where it ends. He especially loathes Lina and Xellos in his belief that they are responsible for Gaav's death.
Like Filia parts of his dragon self occasionally show themselves, including black, large claws, and black feathery type wings. But because part of him is mazoku it's often painful for him to retain any of his dragon form.
