Josh Brolin portrays the iron-willed and fearless James Butler (Wild Bill) Hickok (aka Jimmy) who is fast becoming the most-feared gunfighter in the West. A dangerous "bad boy" who dislikes authority, Hickok is a headstrong contender for leadership of the group. He is unpredictable, but loyal and likeable.

Brolin was born in Los Angeles and raised in Paso Robles, Calif., on a horse ranch. Always having had a knack for acting, it was after appearing in high school theater productions that he began to seriously consider it as a career. In order to realize his goals, Brolin moved to Los Angeles to live with his father (actor James Brolin) and began to study acting with the famed Stella Adler.

Brolin's television credits include leading roles in the series "Private Eye" and the television movie "Prison of Children", as well as guest-starring roles in "The Finish Line", "Highway to Heaven" and "21 Jump Street." His film credits include "Goonies" and "Thrashin'."

During his hiatus, Brolin once again participated in several productions at the famed GeVa Theatre in Rochester, NY where fellow TYR cast member, Anthony Zerbe, is the associate artistic director. In this season's GeVa presentation "Reflections '91 - A New Plays Festival," Brolin appeared in the new productions "Pitz & Joe" (portraying a young man who suffers brain damage after a motorcycle accident and then must be cared for by his older sister) and "Life in the Trees" (three inter-related plays, in which Brolin plays one of nine people who are emotionally barricaded in their Manhattan apartments). Last year Brolin appeared in the GeVa productions of "Forgiving Typhoid Mary," "Oh! The Innocents" and "Babylon Gardens."

Brolin's other theater credits include lead roles in regional productions of "Street Car named Desire," "The Crucible," "Dark Side of the Moon," "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Skin of our Teeth." Brolin writes and reads poetry and likes to take long rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
