At a time when anti-gay sentiment is widely influencing public policy - at a time when hate crimes on the basis of sexual orientation are on the rise - GLBTH persons and their supporters need to speak out. All GLBTH persons and their supporters need to become involved.
Unless more people stand up and address the facts, that hate and intolerance threaten every GLBTH person in this country, the laws needed for protection will continue to be defeated. If the members of the GLBTH community do not fight for our own lives and the lives of everyone else, our brothers and sisters will continue to become victims of hate crimes.
The choice is yours. Get involved - before it really is too late.
Names of UAVP-CNY members will, under no circumstances, be released or revealed to any person or organization outside of the Unity Against Violence Project of central New York. Local coordinators may have access to membership lists, but names of members will not be used for any purpose other than official UAVP-CNY business.
