Because I Care
The teardrop project has special meaning for me. A small child with special needs and much emotional baggage has blessed my life. The foster parents for this child are now moving on to the adoption phase. For this child, the horrors of the past are over, and a loving new family helps the healing. I am blessed to be a grandparent to this wonderful child.
My grandmother wasn't given to supporting many causes. Her retirement income was small, but she always managed to find something to send to this cause and I do so now, in her memory.
My father-in-law and grandfather-in-law were
very active in their support of this cause.
They both marched in many parades and wore
out many pairs of shoes. I remember them
here. This one is for you Dad!
I am recovering from the death of a relative.
These next causes are in his memory and in
support of all others afflicted with
diabetes. Please click on the syringe to
learn more. Towards his last few weeks of
life we would have been lost without the help
of this wonderful, caring group. Please click
on the caduses for information on Hospice.
These next causes are ones we see everyday. They have become a part of our culture to the point, that we don't really give much thought to them. But, for me, they are more than worthy causes. I have given to them, and they have given to me. Many years ago my family was devastated by a fire. I don't know what we would have done without their help. I give them space here in deep appreciation! Please read once more about the Red Cross. Click on the church window to learn more about the Salvation Army today.
At different times in my life I have been the daughter of a military man. The wife of a GI. The mother of a Marine. I have always had a deep pride in my country and for those who have served her. I could not close this page without one last cause. Please click on the image below!
Since this page was originally started, I have found these sites below that I fully endorse. Please take the time to save our rainforest, plant a tree, and feed the hungry. It just takes a moment to click on each of them; and while you are there; maybe you'll become a supporter too! 'S'
