Nutsy lived longer
than all the other animals in the household. She
outlived her original owner and saw many changes in
her lifetime. She became frail and thin near the end
of her life, and my children begged me to talk to
their dad about putting the cat down. But, Nutsy had
her own time clock and before I could make the
arrangements to pick her up and take her to the vet,
she had found her own way home. The strangest thing
was, she died exactly where her lifelong companion
died. A year later than Colonel, but in the same
manner and on the same spot. Partners through life,
they play now, near the edges of The Rainbow Bridge.
