You are leaving me!
Your eyes avoid contact with mine.
There are great silences between us.
Mountains of words unsaid.

You wall yourself away from me.
Pretenses of normalcy
Flay my nerves to ribbons.
Still you try to hide.

Every day, you slip further away.
Carefully locking each door;
Tossing the keys away.
YOU are leaving me!

Emotions, once so easily shared;
Turn to torrents in the darkened nights.
My entire being is a massive ache~
YOU are leaving me!

I feel so small and powerless.
Hands that once comforted;
Now tear at my soul.
YOU are leaving me!

No heartfelt prayers,
Nor magic potions;
Can alter this cruel passage.
YOU are leaving me!

Your dreams light the way.
And, I feel how excited you are;
To travel the land of youthfulness.
YOU are leaving me!

Can I let you go, with a smile?
Hiding unshed tears in my heart.
Keeping pretenses to the end~
As YOU leave me!
