midi~Sunrise, Sunset

He has your eyes
not blue, not brown.
But somewhere in between.

And, he has your mouth.
But, not your smile.
That crooked grin is all his own.

And, he has your ears.
Kind of petite and pink,
that hug close beside his head.

And, he has your hair.
Thick and springy with cowlicks;
but not your shade of brown.

And, he has your forehead
long and lean
with bushy eyebrows in between.

And, he has your cheekbones.
Your long slim face.
But, somehow he found another nose.

And... here is what I want to know!
How could you run away to hide, again,
behind your mother's skirts.
And leave 'your' face behind?
