Death, sweet death~~~~~
I have no fear of
you.
Your sweet face, I have seen
in
foolishness, so long ago!
Yet; I feel your
presence,
creeping into the
sanctuary
of my home and my
heart.
Waiting to claim my soul.
I call
forth all the power of
my will to keep
you at bay.
But, your chill
gentle
touch, is still here.
I see your pale
beauty
hiding in the corners of
my
darkened rooms and
feel the chill
when
I pass you by.
I hold him in the
charmed
circle of my arms;
not wanting
to let
you take my love away.
I would
not fight you,
sweet lady, if you
were
here for me~~~~
but him, oh no; not
him!
You ask that I surrender~~
But,
lady; I don't know how.
A warriors heart
beats
in my breast and
keeps the circle
whole!
But; I grow weary, dear lady.
The
struggle has been so long.
Yet, while I
can,
he'll sleep with me.
And; Death
will have to wait!
