• Terry Gilliam once again shares his immense genius with us. The MONTY PYTHON alumnus has proven his worth on several occasions. ("JABBERWOCKY", "TIME BANDITS", "THE ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN", "THE FISHER KING", "12 MONKEYS", "FEAR & LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS".) His particular twisted bent on life, is always entertaining and brimming with insight.

• Once again, we enjoin an "everyman" in his quest for order & peace within a chaotic world. Robert DeNiro plays an interesting, but minor character, who represents the ultimate rebel. Pryce, plays a minor, hapless clerk in a world gone totally mad. He daydreams constantly of a more adventurous life, in which he is a knight in shining armour, determined to rescue a beautiful damsel, from heinous peril.

• Because of an accidental clerical error, Pryce becomes embroiled in a "real" adventure. He falls in love with a mysterious beauty, (Kim Greist), and they embark upon a rebellious trek.

• The visual impact of this film is extraordinary. Special Effects, Cinematography, Costuming, Choreography, and Music, will keep the viewer intrigued and in awe.

• The complex script may keep the audience confused, but Gilliam has never written for the masses. As convoluted as this script may be; a simple message lies at its core. Man needs a challenge to make his life worthwhile. The tedium of a beauracratic world will eventually take its toll upon the human heart, and a "rebel without a cause", is doomed forever.
