Jess pulled out of the parking lot and at the stop sign decided to go straight. You could hear Michelle's bass blasting, she loved hard-core rap, much to chagrin of Jessica, who mainly stayed to Country. They were very different in that way. They could not be in the same car with fighting over the radio. She sighed in frustration and looked over at Chris. He looked really sad. She pondered whether to ask about it or not but was interrupted by Joey's ass coming up on the side of her. After the initial shock, she laughed and sped away to avoid any further ass in her view.
After about five minutes of driving, they pulled into mall. It was huge with fountains and 3 levels. Jessica made sure she had her credit card and stepped out. They met Michelle and started walking into the mall. They were warmly greeted in Macy's shreiking.
"OH MY GOD! JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!" They all turned around to a 12 year old girl. She threw down the Tommy shirt she was holding, ran and jumped on him. Jessica and Michelle cracked up. They could not control the laughter anymore. With tears streaming down their faces they attempted to catch their breath and move on. Justin had finally shook her off of him and bribed her with an autographed hat. Lance just looked over and shrugged.
"That sucks, I could never deal with that. How you don't beat the crap out of her I'll never know." They continued on and walked into Abercrombie and Fitch. Michelle decided that she loved the down jacket that they had and whipped out the visa. When Jessica finally decided she didn't like anything they moved on. As soon as they got to the middle of the mall Jess and Michelle wanted to go separate ways.
"I want to go to Nine West." Jess whined.
"I want to go to Bath and Body works." Michelle replied. Jess sighed and offered a suggestion.
"Why the hell don't we just split. I'll go to Nine West, you can go get your B&B and whoever wants to go with me can come. I don't care." Jess thought for some reason they would all go with Michelle. As she turned to walk away she heard to of the guys speak up simultaneously.
"I'll go with you." Justin and Chris both said. Jessica just smiled and started walking. After about 30 minutes of just cruising the mall Jess decided that she was thirsty. They went over to Orange Julius and placed their orders. As they turned around they saw a girl walking over to them. She was tall, blond and ALL fake. As she approached Jess reconized her from school...Madison Tossier. The boys turned to Jessica when they heard a groan from her.
"God damn it." Jessica quickly threw away her orange julius and tried to walk away when she heard Madison call out her name.
"Jess!! Is that you? Oh my god! I haven't seen you around!" She ran up to Jessica and enveloped her in a hug. Jessica gave the boys a "I-think-I'm-Going-To-Be-Sick" look. They just chuckled and continued watching. "Have you colored your hair?? You look good! I can't believe it's you!"
"Thanks, you do too. It's too bad we don't have any classes together this year." Jessica lied. "Well, it's really good to see you again! We should hang out sometime." Madison smiled.
"Yea! We'll hang out! Call me!" Jessica smiled, sighed and turned around. She was surprised. She thought she would be a lot more translucent. She seemed genuine. She looked over and saw that Michelle was heading towards them.
"Hey guys! Look what I bought!" Michelle held up her hand. Jessica took a closer look and gasped.
"No, you didn't. I cannot believe you bought that!" She was talking about a small diamond ring. It had a blue sapphire in the middle. Jess just shook her head and walked away.
"What's wrong with her?" Justin had asked. She looked extremely upset.
"It may be because of the fact that her boyfriend bought her one EXACTLY like this. And when he died she put it in his pocket so he could be buried with it. I had always liked it. I hope she's not too upset with me." Michelle now felt really bad. How could she have betrayed her friend like this? She looked down the mall to see Jessica turning to leave. Justin just sprinted up and caught up with her. Chris just looked lost in thought. "I'll drive you guys to wherever. Justin caught up with Jess. She'll give him a ride back."
They turned and walked out of the mall.
