Brian walked to the upper level of the Fleet Center and sat down in one of the seats in the back. He often did this when he wanted to be alone. He sat there for what seemed like hours thinking about the previous events. He knew that it was for the best. He did not want to string Ashley along when he knew he had a girlfriend. It was wrong and he knew it. He also knew that somehow he had to mend ways with them. At least Kaycie, it looked like she was going to go out with his best friend. He did not want there to be any tension. He sat there some more when he smelled a woman's perfume. When he looked over his shoulder, he saw Kaycie sitting there, right behind him.
"Hey, I'm really sorry about flipping out. I still think what you did was really wrong, and you should have considered Ashley's feelings, but it pissed me off and I overreacted." Kaycie had the same view as Brian did. If she was going to is with Nick she had to make amends with Brian. Plus she really did not hate him. She just thought he was an asshole for doing what he did. Hopefully over time he would prove that he is not concerned with only himself.
"Kay- I am really, truly sorry. I did not mean to hurt Ashley. I just wanted to be sure I was doing the right thing. My heart was in the right place." Brian sighed and looked back at the stage. Kaycie got up and sat next to Brian.
"Yea, well, I am going to forget the whole thing. I really do not want there to be any conflict between you guys. Then we'd just be as bad as Yoko Uno." Brian smiled. He was glad there was no more tension between them. He would just have to work on Ashley. He realistically thought it would take a long time.
"So…did you get something to eat? Nick and I were down there, but after the little 'issue' we didn't get a chance." Brian did not even realize how hungry he was until he heard his stomach growl.
"Sure, let's go."
Brian and Kaycie went looking for Nick. Brian was relieved that Kaycie was not angry with him. As they rounded the corner into the cafeteria Brian sighed. AJ and Ashley were sitting at a table eating. They hadn't gotten a chance to eat before the confrontation either. As Kaycie and Brian entered the cafeteria Ashley looked up and saw them together.
"Kaycie, I am going to go to the dressing room. I don't think this is such a good idea." Brian began to turn around.
"Brian, you don't have to leave because I am in here eating." Ashley yelled across the room. Brian turned around shocked that Ashley was speaking to him. Ashley got up and walked over to him.
"I'm not mad at you. I thought about it. If you were just going to lie to me about having a girlfriend, I really, don't want to be with you anyway. I am just glad I found out now before it was too late. You didn't piss me off to the point that I never want to speak or see you again. As a matter of fact, Kaycie and I are still going with you guys for the next couple of days." Ashley was proud of herself for being so understanding about what Brian had done. AJ stared at her as she reasoned with Brian about the situation. He couldn't believe how well she was taking it.
Brian stood there in shock for a minute before he said anything. "Ashley, it's not that I don't..didn't like you" He quickly corrected himself. "It's just that I didn't want to lose both of you."
"Brian, you don't have to answer this, but when the hell were you going to tell me about her?" Ashley was kind of hurt that Brian thought he needed a back up girlfriend.
"I really don't know." Brian just stared at the floor.
"Oh, that really makes me feel better. I was taken for a ride Brian. I don't appreciate you making me look like an ass." Ashley could feel the anger in her face. She was sure it was red. She took a deep breath and continued on. "Look, whatever happened, it's in the past. Let's just forget it ever happened. Sit and eat." Ashley pointed to the booth. He sat down and ordered a Turkey Club Supermelt.
After talking at eating for about a half and hour, Nick walks in and walks over to Kaycie.
"Kayce…Could you come with me for a second?" This was followed by "Awws and oohhs..". Kaycie just smiled and walked with him out into the hallway.
"What's up?" She looked up at him. He ran his hand through his hair and sighed out of fatigue. He was so tired lately. He wished he could get more sleep, but he was too busy.
"Well, I wanted to know if you wanted to go with Ashley and pick out a whole new wardrobe for us for our new tour. I know it may sound weird but our stylist Tracie quit just before she had to go pick them out. We are under the gun now." Kaycie was so excited. Her and Ashley always had a flair for fashion.
"HELL YEA! Let me go tell Ash." Nick smiled. He knew that she would be bored most of the time on tour and needed something to do. It's good that he could kill two birds with one stone. As she turned to walk away he grabbed her hand and kissed her.
"Maybe I'll tell her later." Nick just smiled and kissed her again.

The rest of them had finished lunch and were walking backstage. AJ and Ashley had gotten to be alone in his dressing room. They were talking about all the stupid and funny things Kaycie has done while she had known her. Ashley laughed at the memories and wiped a tear away that she had while laughing so hard. She was telling AJ about the time Kaycie and her had to go to a sporting goods store for a sweatshirt when she had lost track of Kaycie. All of a sudden she spots Kaycie with one of those Bright orange hunting jacket's on and a bright orange knit hat, dancing. Before she could take it off an employee there saw them and started laughing. Just the thought of Kaycie in the Bright orange jacket and knit hat made her double over with laughs. AJ enjoyed listening to Ashley's tales. From what he had noticed they were hysterically funny. He was glad that they treated them like normal guys. They didn't squeal or cry over them. It was a breath of fresh air. He decided that he needed to come clean and admit that he liked her. After a second he thought it would be best to show her, not tell her. He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him. He leaned in towards her and kissed her. After a while, Nick and Kaycie whistling and cheering interrupted them.
