Satisfy You: Chapter 14

****** Two Months Later: May ******

"Kaycie, why don't you just come. AJ said you could. Why don't you? You insist on being an ass. Maybe you and Nick can work things out." Ashley was getting frustrated. Kaycie and Nick had spoken to each other 2 times since March and all they did was fight. He was really pissed that she just left without saying goodbye. AJ had wanted Kaycie to come on tour, but he knew that she wouldn't unless things were right between her and Nick. It was now May and they just weren't speaking. Ashley was at an end point.

"Because, I have no desire to even look at him. Let alone be around him when I don't have to. Besides, you and AJ should be alone." Kaycie turned back to her computer. She was looking for an airline from Boston to NY. She didn't want to take the train because she would be on it alone. Ashley walked over to the phone and dialed AJ's cell phone.

"She won't come. She decided against it. NO I can't force her. Maybe if your asshole friend would be a little more understanding we would all be happy right no-" Kaycie grabbed the phone.

"AJ put Nick on. Right now. I'm serious. If you don't want my shoe impaled in your head you will do as I say. Thanks buddy." She tapped her fingers as she waited for Nick to come on. Ashley decided that she should let Kaycie talk in private. She went down to the dining hall so she could bring them back both some food.

"Hey. Listen, I've been trying to tell you this for the past 2 months, and frankly I don't see why it is not penetrating your head. IT WAS TO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE! Did you want me to be happy to leave?"

"Kay, I wanted to see you before you left. I needed to tell you a lot of things that I didn't get a chance to." Nick sighed. It felt good to tell her why he was so upset. It wasn't that she left, it was because he couldn't work things out. He didn't know how she felt about dating someone who wouldn't be around. He knew that if he wanted any type of a future with Kaycie he had better get over it and let things be. "Please, I just want to forget this. Will you pack your things and come on tour with us. I need you right now. Please, I'm begging you."

Kaycie smiled, she knew that Nick was genuine. She could also see why he would be upset that she didn't say goodbye. She looked around the room and estimated how long it would take her to get packed. Ashley was getting picked up in two hours. She had to get all of her stuff out in the next week. She figured her parents could come and get her stuff for her.

“OK. I’ll go with you guys.” She knew that this was for the best and it’s better than holding a grudge. Just then Ashley walked in.

“You’re going!?” Ashley exclaimed. She then ran around the room screaming. Over dramatic yes, but she was happy she wouldn’t be alone. She’d have someone to cause trouble with. “Come on! I’ll help you pack, we don’t have much time. Say goodbye to Nick.”

“Ashley says I have to go. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Bye baby…I’ll go with AJ to pick you guys up. I’ll see you later.” Nick couldn’t wait. Those girls were so funny. He had missed their humor. They were always laughing at something. He remembered the time where him and AJ walked in on the girls fooling around with a chair that made farting noises. He can still remember Kaycie doubled over laughing while Ashley made the noise. Immature yes…but he admired the way that they didn’t bitch and moan about everything. The girls that he has known always had something to complain about. Kaycie and Ashley just laughed about everything. He loved that about them. He hung up the phone and searched for AJ.

AJ had left the room after he gave Nick the phone. Nick wasn't quite sure where he had went off to so he decided to check AJ's room first. He knocked on the door and AJ answered. As soon as AJ saw the glow on his face he knew that something good happened.

"What happened buddy?" AJ was hoping that Nick and Kaycie had made up.

"Kaycie is coming with Ashley today. We have to pick them up." Nick was so excited he could barely spit out the words.

"Calm down. So everthing is cool between you two?" AJ couldn't believe that almost over two months of fighting they just made up.

"Yup. And I think we should do something special for them."

"Like what? I was just going to take Ashley out to dinner tonight what did you have in mind?" AJ thought it was a good idea for Nick to try and make it up to Kaycie for him being an ass for two months.

"Well, I was thinking. You know how during 'No One Else Comes Close' we bring a couple of fans onstage and sing to them?" AJ nodded. "Well, I thought we could bring Kaycie and Ashley up there. No one would know that they aren't just fans." Nick was proud of himself for thinking of that.

"Nick, I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with that idea. Sounds great to me. But we can't tell them I want it to be a surprise. Just make sure that they stay on the side of the stage tonight so we can grab them and bring them on." AJ knew that he had to make sure Nick had thought of everything since most of the time the girls are either on the bus or in the dressing room.

"Alright. That should be a problem. We should get going soon. They get here at 4." Nick was so excited to see Kaycie. He missed not talking to her for two months.

AJ and Nick went to the airport to pick up the girls. They were afraid they would be noticed by fans so they decided to disguise themselves. They also knew Kaycie and Ashley would get a kick out of them dressed up in army uniforms. They waited outside of the gate for the girls. So far no one had noticed who they were.

Kaycie and Ashley were so excited. Traveling with AJ and Nick for the summer was the best way they could think of to spend their summer. They talked about things they could do the whole time they were on the plane to Chicago. As they were walking through the hallway from the plane Ashley looked up and started to laugh.

"What's a matter with you?" Kaycie couldn't figure out what Ashley was laughing at.

"Look straight ahead." Ashley continued to laugh. Kaycie looked up and saw Nick and AJ standing there with a serious look on their face dressed in army uniforms. Kaycie started to laugh.

AJ headed towards Ashley. Ashley dropped her bag and wrapped her arms around AJ. She was so happy to see him. They began to kiss. Kaycie and Nick just stood there staring at each other. They both knew that was going to be a weird moment for the both of them. Nick couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed Kaycie and hugged her. Kaycie was so happy to be near him.
