When they got back to the hotel they evaded the fans. The girls were really happy about that because they have learned to hate the fans. As much as they contributed to and determined the boys success they also were really cruel and harsh to anyone that was lucky enough to know the boys personally. AJ and Ashley walked into the elevator and shut the doors really quickly. They obviously wanted to get naughty in the elevators. Nick and Kaycie just waited for the second one to come back down. It was really awkward and they didn't speak. They just stared ahead. It was Nick who finally broke the silence.
"I missed you a lot." Kaycie inhaled sharply as anger overcame her.
"Yea, I know, you really showed it." Kaycie said sarcastically through clenched teeth.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Nick was really offended now.
"I mean, that two months went by and you just went on. You didn't give me a chance. So don't give me this shit about how you missed me. If you missed me that much you would have understood. But no. You didn't. Don't expect me to treat you like any other girl would. If you want someone that will take your bullshit, get a twelve year old. I'm not going to listen to it." Nick just stood there with his mouth open.
"Don't hold back on me Kayce…just let it all out. Now, tell me again how you didn't miss me?"
"I never said that." Kaycie just looked down at the floor.
"Oh, that's right, you never said that. Well I guess we're at a moot point. Are we going to forgive each other or are we going to not exist to each other and just act civil for the sake of Ash and AJ?" Just then the elevator stopped, the doors opened and Kaycie just walked out. She walked over to theroom and opened the door. Just as she was about to slam it shut Nick stuck his hand in.
"No, we are not finished. I want to know where the fuck we stand!" Kaycie whipped back around. She was now facing Nick.
"OK, you want to know where we stand?"
"Yea." Kaycie grabbed Nick by the shirt and kissed him. They both soon relaxed and could not stop kissing. They eventually stumbled over to the bed, and both fell down on it. As Kaycie removed Nick's jacket, there was a loud knocking at the door.
"God damn it." Nick mumbled. He got up off the bed and answered it. He was greeted by AJ's and Ashley's bright smiles.
"How are you doing, buddy? I see you look a little disheveled. Why is that?" AJ asked with a laugh. Ashley knew exactly what was going on and tried to contain her laughs. She looked over at Kaycie and couldn't control it anymore. Kaycie had a look of pure rage on her face.
"Fuck you AJ. Get out. Now. I want to be alone with Kaycie. TO TALK!" He emphasized the "to talk" part. The three of them talked about the show and what was going on for a little while longer. Kaycie just sank back in the bed and was out like a light.
"OK, see you later." Nick shut the door. "Now where were we?" He looked back around and saw Kaycie sleeping. He decided not to interrupt her and he went to go play some basketball with Brian.
Kaycie and Ashley sat down in the arena. They had skipped the opening acts and just hung out with the boys, because frankly, the opening acts sucked. They waited for the boys to come on and just spent the time chatting away.
"What are you and AJ doing tonight?" Kaycie asked. She took a sip out of her coke and waited for an answer.
"Each other." Kaycie almost choked. With some effort she swallowed the soda and started laughing.
"Sick. No, really, what are you doing?" Ashley just shrugged.
"Probably just staying in the hotel and watching movies. I hope you don't mind. It's just because I haven't seen AJ in a long time." Kaycie understood.
"Yea, that's fine. But it will have to be in AJ's room. I'm staying in ours." Just then the arena went black and the boys opened their show. Soon it was time for them to bring fans up on stage.
Ashley and Kaycie weren't really paying attention to anything going on up on the stage. They continued to talk through the songs. They had seen numerous shows so it wasn't a big deal anymore. They loved hearing and seeing the guys, but they had more important matters to discuss.
"Oh really. What are you going to be doing in our room?" Ashley looked accusingly at Kaycie.
"Sleeping okay? I don't want to have to sleep to the sounds of you and AJ moaning all night." Kaycie and Ashley both started to laugh. They weren't paying any attention to the guys singing on stage. They were sitting on the side of the stage away from all the crew so that they didn't get in their way. Kaycie looked up and saw AJ coming towards them.
"What the hell is he doing?" Kaycie asked Ashley.
"I have no clue. I haven't been paying attention." Ashley watched AJ come towards them. He didn't say anything to them. He just grabbed both of their arms and dragged them on stage. Kaycie and Ashley were both in shock.
"What the hell is going on AJ?" Ashley whispered in AJ's ear. Nick grabbed Kaycie's arm and pulled her close to him. Ashley and Kaycie were both in disblief that they were on stage.
"For this next song we though were would bring a couple of fans up here and sing to them. This is to show how much you all mean to us." As Nick spoke the fans went crazy. Nick and AJ sat the two girls down in chairs that were brouggt up for them and the went and stood with the other guys to start the song. The guys started singing "No One Else Comes Close."
Kaycie and Ashley just looked at each other. Once their initial shock wore off they decided to have some fun with it.
Nick and AJ walked back to the girls and started singing right to them. When AJ took Ashley's hand she became all red and pretended to cry. Ashley and Kaycie had seen a tape of a concert where the girls began to cry uncontrollably so they decided to recreate that little scene. Nick wrapped his arm around Kaycie as he sang to her. Kaycie decided that she was going to make it look like she was hyperventilating. AJ and Nick couldn't figure out what was going on. They continued with the song watching the Kaycie and Ashley freak out like the 12 year old fans. As they brought the two off stage like they did all the other fans that had come out in previous shows, Kaycie and Ashley began to laugh.
"What the hell was that all about?" Nick couldn't believe what they had done.
"Nick don't be mad. It was my idea. We were only fooling around." Ashley really tried to say that with a straight face, but she just couldn't. AJ and Nick turned around and walked back out onto the stage.
"Dude, I think they are mad at us." Kaycie couldn't believe it.
"Me too. I tought they would think it was funny." Ashley and Kaycie went into the dressing room and waited for the show to be over.
When the show was over all the guys headed towards the dressing room.
"AJ, are you made at them?" Nick couldn't figure out if he was or not.
"No, not at all. I thought it was funny as hell. I just want them to think we are." AJ siad as they walked into the dressing room. They saw Ashley and Kaycie sitting on the couch talking.
"Hey guys. How did it go?" Kaycie asked.
"Fine." Nick replied in a harsh tone.
"Whoa, man PMS. I thought these Pretty boys needed a good laugh. Obviously not." Ashley replied.
"I can't believe you are mad at us for joking around. I don't under…" Nick stopped Kaycie before she could finish.
"We are pretty good actors too huh?" Nick just looked at them and laughed. They all began to laugh at the thought of Kaycie and Ashley up on stage.
