Satisfy You: Chapter 19

Kaycie and Nick groaned. They had been trying to sleep for the past 3 hours but couldn't because they kept hearing Marvin Gaye on repeat. Kaycie turned over and brushed a strand of hair out of Nick's half-asleep eyes.

"I swear we are going to be "Auntie Kaycie and Uncle Nick" if they aren't careful. Although, I like the Baby Gap." Kaycie pictured herself walking through that store with a Platinum Visa. Nick just laughed.

"Yea, I could ALMOST see Ashley as a mom. Oh man, we'd have to adopt the kid so it wouldn't have to live like that." Kaycie punched him in the shoulder. "Why did you hit me?"

"I thought about what you said after I hit you. You're right. No child should live like that." She paused and took a deep breath. She still heard Marvin. Now it was "Let's Get It On". How fitting.

"Nicky, be the man that you are and lay down the law with them PLEASE?" Kaycie whined.

"No, AJ's the man. It's actually kind of putting me in the mood…" He slyly said as he took her hand in his. Kaycie brushed it aside and got up, and walked out the door. "What are you doing Kace?" Nick screamed after her. She just looked back and marched ahead to Ashley's and AJ's room.

"THROW ON A ROBE AND LET ME IN NOW!" It was a good thing they had the whole floor rented out because she was sure the whole floor heard her.

"What?" Ashley said through the crack in the door. Kaycie just pushed her aside and walked in.

"AJ, I'm not Ashley. Cover it." Kaycie said pointing to AJ. He promptly pulled the blanket around him. "I am so sick of hearing you two mate. Seriously. I want to go to bed PLEASE stop. I'm begging." Ashley just nodded.

"Thanks." Kaycie walked out of the door and back in the room. Nick followed her and laid beside her.

"That was really pissing you off wasn't it?" Nick wondered what the big deal was. He was rather impressed with AJ's stamina.

"I was just getting sick of hearing those two fuck all the damn time." Kaycie really didn't want to talk to Nick about it.

"They are just showing their love for one another in a different way." Nick was trying to calm down Kaycie.

"That's not love thats being bed buddies. I never thought Ashley would be like that. I'm telling you right now I'm not going to Lamaze class with her. Nor will I be in the room during birth. We are good friends, but there are some lines we DO NOT cross." Kaycie tried to lighten the mood. She didn't want to take out her anger on Nick.

Nick laughed and thought about what she had said. "You don't honestly believe that they are only bed buddies do you?"

"No. I'm just mad. Sometimes I feel like you and I will never be that close. When I see AJ and Ashley I get the feeling that they are wolves."

"Wolves?" Nick said with a puzzled look on his face.

"Yes, thats right Nick. Wolves. They have a mate for life. Once they find each other they are together forever." Kaycie wanted her and Nick to be that way, but she didn't get that feeling like she did when she saw AJ and Ashley together.

Nick was kind of hurt by what Kaycie had just said. "You don't think we are wolves?"

Kaycie knew she had just gotten herself in deep. "Its not that we aren't wolves its just that I don't think we could ever be as close as them. We spent half the time we have known each other fighting. I would love for you to be my wolf, but I just don't have that feeling yet. So far all our relationship is based on is a few really nice conversations, that don't get me wrong I loved, but we haven't even really been out on a real date. We don't have the passion that AJ and Ashley have." Kaycie was hoping that

Nick understood what she was saying. "If it is passion that you are wanting I can give you that in a nanosecond." Nick answered.

"It's not just that. I just want to be sure that you will always be around." Kaycie was glad to get her feelings out in the open.

"Kay, you know you don't have to worry about me leaving. I will always be here. I told you I loved you didn't I? I don't know what else to do prove that I want to be with you." Nick was leaning on his side looking at Kaycie. She was just staring at the ceiling while he was talking to her. "Kaycie, did you just hear a word I said."

"Yes, but I do my best thinking when I am staring at the ceiling." Kaycie laughed.

"You're nuts you know that. You pour you freakin' heart out to me and all you can do is stare at the ceiling." Nick just shook his head.

He pulled Kaycie close to him and just held on to her. Kaycie loved being that close to him. Even though she had her "me" space she didn't him invading it. Kaycie laid there thinking about what had just happened. "maybe he is my wolf," She thought to herself before she fell asleep.
