Satisfy You: Chapter 2

Ashley had been sitting in front of her computer for hours talking to Brian. Kaycie laid on her bed studying. That was a rare event so Ashley tried not to disturb her.

"If I don't go pee right now you are going to find a puddle underneath my chair very shortly." Ashley said to Kaycie as she got up from her computer.

Kaycie didn't really think anything of it and continued studying until she heard the ring from the Instant Messenger. Kaycie got up and went over to the computer.

"Hmmm…I wonder what they talk about." Kaycie thought to herself. She went over and read the screen. She couldn't believe what she read.

"Ashley, I was just wondering if while I was in Boston for a business meeting I could meet you somewhere?"

"This guy must be a psycho" Kaycie said to herself.

Kaycie decided to take this matter into her own hands. She sat down in front of the computer and started typing.

Look Brian, I don't think that would be a very good idea. I really don't know anything about you and wouldn't feel comfortable. I have seen what has happen to people that meet someone from online. They end up dead and on Dateline.

Kaycie knew what she was doing was for Ashley's own good. Getting in a relationship with a guy that she met online was not the best idea Ashley had ever had. Kaycie could her Ashley coming down the hall. She was singing to the tune of "Girl on TV," but changed to the words to "Guy on the web." Kaycie started to laugh and closed the conversation before Ashley got in the room.

"Hey, what happened?" Ashley questioned.

"Well, I heard the Instant Message thing going nuts so I decided to check and see what was going on. Brian said that he had to run and would talk to you some other time." Kaycie hated lying to Ashley but she it was for Ashley's benefit that he did it.

"Oh…ok. Did he say anything else?"

"Nope. Just 'talk to you later'."

"Alright. I am starving I sat there for hours. Do you want to go get something to eat with me?" Ashley was a little disappointed she didn't get to say goodbye to Brian.

"Sure. Lets go."

The two girls bundled up to go get some food. As they headed out the door Ashley was thinking about her conversation with Brian. She always loved talking to him. She felt as if she had known him for years.

Nick was still sitting on the couch watching his best friend type away. Brian was finally convinced to ask Ashley to meet him while he was in Boston.

"Well Frack, I did it. I ask her if I could meet her in Boston."

"What did she say?" Nick asked eagerly.

"She hasn't responded yet. She probably got to scared to answer me." Nick could see Brian getting nervous.

Brian had turned around to talk to Nick. When they heard the ring that the IM had come in both of there heads shot to the computer. When Nick saw the look on Brian's face he knew that he had made a mistake.

"What did she say Bri?" Nick asked scared to hear the answer.

"She said no."

"What?"

"You heard me. She said she didn't think it was a good idea and that she could end up dead if she met me somewhere. That was a great idea of yours Nick. Now she probably thinks I am some sicko that tries to get with women over the Internet. I'm sure she will never talk to me again now. Thank you so much." Brian was very angry. He was mainly mad at himself for listening to Nick. "How could I be so dumb." Brian thought to himself.

"Look Frick, this isn't my fault. I thought since you like her you should meet her. It was a good idea. I didn't think she would have a problem with it." Nick said trying to defend himself. He did feel pretty bad though. He had been the one that pushed Brian into asking her.

"I know. I'm sorry. I just like talking to her and now I probably messed that up to. I really want to meet her. She seems exactly what I like in a girl."

As they were talking he heard Ashley sign off. She didn't even say 'goodbye' to him like she normally did.

"So why don't you find her then?" Nick asked.

"Frack, then she would really think I am psycho." Brian couldn't believe what Nick had just said. But as he thought about it more he didn't think it was such a bad idea. "Even if I did try and find her, I only know her first name and that she lives with her best friend in Boston. I kind of need more information than that."

"Why don't you check her profile? It might say in there what her last name is, then you could look her up in the phone book to get her address."

"Her what?" Brian had no clue what Nick was talking about. He wasn't great with a computer.

"Get up and let me look." Nick got up from the couch and sat down in front of the computer. Within a few minutes he had what he was looking for. "Ok, I got what you wanted. Her name is Ashley Matthews and goes to Boston College." Nick was satisfied with his findings.

"Good job Frack. But do you know how many possibilities there are of her location on that campus? It isn't exactly a small school." Brian hadn't gotten a little excited know where she lived but he soon began thinking that there were so many possibilities of where she could be there.

"Yes, so you go to admissions and say you are her cousin trying to surprise her at her room." Nick was so proud of himself for thinking of that.

"Wow Nick. I am impressed. You are really using your brain tonight." Brian started to laugh.

Brian was so excited to get to Boston. He only had one more week to wait.
