The concert ended with "The Perfect Fan." All the guys ran backstage. Kaycie and Ashley were waiting near the dressing room. As the guys were running by the dressing room, Nick and Brian saw Ashley and Kaycie standing outside waiting for them. Brian grabbed Ashley's arm and Nick grabbed Kaycie's arm and dragged them along in the run.
"Brian, where the hell are we going?" Ashley couldn't figure out what the hell was going on.
"Just come with us. Trust me." Brian said out of breath.
As they continued down the long hall they barged through two doors and ran onto a bus. Kaycie and Ashley could hear a girls screaming uncontrollably. It dawned on both of them why they were running out of there so fast. At any moment they would have been bombarded with teenyboppers. When they finally reached their destination Ashley and Kaycie just looked around.
"Where are we?" Kaycie asked. Although she really didn't mind. She was with the Nick and that was good enough for her.
"We are on our tour bus heading towards the hotel." Nick answered.
"Hotel?" Ashley and Kaycie asked at the same time.
"Yeah. I didn't think you would mind. I wanted to spend some time with you before we left town." Brian was looking at Ashley. "I hope she doesn't get the wrong idea." He thought to himself.
"No. That's fine, but my car is here. I kind of need it." Ashley really didn't care about her car. She just wanted make sure that she would eventually see it again.
"We will bring you back over here later. We just had to get out of there right after or would have never made it out alive." Brian said.
"Oh. We understand." Kaycie really didn't care, just as long as Nick lived.
"So, Brian are you going to introduce us to these two girls that our on our bus?" Kevin interrupted.
"Oh yeah. Sorry Kev. This is Ashley and this is her best friend Kaycie. They both go to Boston College. Ashley is the girl I have been talking to online." Brian was looking at Ashley the whole time he said that. He was so happy she wasn't freaked out by him finding her.
AJ came in from out back, he was heavily into a conversation with Howie. He was dressed in baggy jeans and a wife beater. The scent of his cologne filled the bus.
“Yo D man, you should have seen the woman that was in the front row, her and her friend were so hot. Too bad we didn’t have any ti—“ He turned around and saw both Kaycie and Ashley standing there with smiles on their faces. They knew it was them, they were the only people over 15 in that row. Kaycie also knew that he had his eye on Ashley and Ashley had his eye on him. “It’s too bad, because Brian really likes Ashley, but she seems to light up more looking at AJ.” She thought.
“Hello…my name is AJ and I am pleased to make your acquaintance.” As he said this he kissed Ashley’s hand. Kaycie just rolled her eyes. “What a player. I’m going to wretch.” She felt an elbow in her side and looked over at Ashley.
“Stop, I know what your thinking.” Kaycie was shocked, even though she shouldn’t be. They know what each other is thinking all the time. It’s always fun to know someone else’s thoughts other than your own, but this was constantly, it got to the point where they didn’t have to say anything. Just look at each other in a certain way and they knew. AJ walked over to the refrigerator to get something to drink.
“I’m Ashley and that’s Kaycie” She pointed to Kaycie and she just smiled and waved. Brian interrupted their conversation.
“AJ, this is the girl I talked to over the internet.” As soon as Brian let AJ know, his coke was sprayed all over, getting on both Kaycie and Ashley.
“What?!” AJ couldn’t believe this. He knew how much Brian liked her, but he also knew why Brian could never have her. “I’ll have Ashley, Brian won’t.” He thought to himself. He was snapped back into reality by Ashley and Kaycie talking about cutting their visit short to change their clothes. AJ was frantic, he couldn’t let them leave, god knows when he’d see Ashley again and he knew that he had to remain in contact with her. He offered a suggestion.
“No prob. I have clothes!” Ashley aggreed on wearing AJ’s clothes, and it didn’t surprise Kaycie.
“Well, I am sorry, but I need to go back to the dorm. Once we get to the hotel I’ll take a cab back to the car and drive it back to BC.” Kaycie said. Nick was confused. He thought that Kaycie liked him. Why would she want to go back to the dorm and not stay with him?
“I’ll have to come back to the hotel to pick up Ashley anyway. It’ll take me two seconds to change.” Kaycie was wearing something totally uncomfortable and didn’t want to stay in it. She was looking forward to changing into jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt. Her feet were killing her and if she didn’t change she was going to get pissy. That’s not the attitude that she wanted to give off.
“If you want I can go with you. I’m bored and it’s better than hanging out with these guys.” Nick was determined to be around her. Obsessive yes, wrong? No.
“Sure, that’s no problem.” Kaycie just smiled at Ashley. She was on cloud nine.
As they got to the hotel they heard the screams of the fans. It was so loud they thought that their eardrums were going to bleed. Kevin gave them a pep-talk.
“Guys, I want you to cover the girls. I don’t think you want pictures of them all over the internet. Let’s salvage some of their privacy.” Kevin looked over at Brian, he was asleep in one of the chairs. They decided to leave him on the bus until the fan’s cleared out. The started to make their way out. As they walked off the bus they heard the fans screaming. AJ held Ashley close and tried his best to cover her face so that there were no pictures taken. Same for Nick and Kaycie. Once they got near the door she heard someone scream out “Are you AJ’s bitch?” She felt her heart start beating faster. She quickly turned around in attempts to attack her. She was no one’s bitch. AJ grabbed her by the waist.
“ONE WORD—LAWSUIT!” Ashley was dissapointed. She really wanted to whoop some 11 year old ass, but she knew AJ was right. Because Ashley a had to go and try to attack the girl, they weren’t on the same elevator as the rest of them.
“I watched you the whole concert.” AJ finally said.
“Did you really?”
“Yes, I was so sad when I found out you were Brian’s.” Ashley just waved her finger.
“I belong to no one. I can date whomever I please.” AJ just smiled. This means he has a chance.
They reached the floor where their hotel rooms were located. They saw Nick and Kaycie walking down the hall.
“You’re leaving already?” Ashley asked Kaycie.
“Yea, we have to leave and come back quickly.”
“OK, could you bring me some clothes then too? Bring my Dave shirt and jeans.” AJ had an idea.
“Wait, just bring your PJ’s and a change of clothes. You’re staying the night.” Kaycie and Ashley just smiled. "Can it be in your bed" Ashley thought to herself. This was going to be a great night….or so they thought.
