Nick got out of his bed. He knew who it was at the door. As much as he didn't want to answer it he knew that he had too. Sure enough behind the door was their manager Boyd Lessard.
"Hey Nick! Sorry to interrupt you, but we have to get ready and leave now. We are leaving straight from the show so get all of your stuff together." Boyd said and then walked to the other guy's rooms.
"Alright, thanks." Nick turned back into his room and looked at Kaycie. "I don't want to leave her yet." He thought to himself.
"Who was that?" Kaycie asked. She could tell Nick wasn't happy.
"That was our manager Boyd. He said that we have to pack up our stuff because after the show we are heading straight to the next show." Nick didn't want to leave Boston. He was really starting to fall for Kaycie.
"Why don't you and Ashley come and spend the day with us at the arena?" Nick was so happy he thought of a way to be with Kaycie before he had to Boston.
"That sounds good to me. We don't have anywhere we have to be. We are on vacation for the next week." Kaycie was so ecstatic that she would get to spend one more day with Nick. Any guy that she could sit up the entire night talking to and him not try one move was someone she wanted to be with.
"Let me go talk to Ashley about it. Just to make sure she didn't have to get back to school. Although I honestly don't know what she could possibly do there, but I better check with her." Kaycie practically ran out of the room she was so excited. She didn't look before she hustled out of the room. Next thing she knew she ran into someone.
"K, what the hell are you doing? Didn't you see me? Blinded by love, huh?" Ashley just laughed. Kaycie had a very confused look on her face. She hadn't even noticed Ashley had walked out of her room at the same time.
"I'm sorry Ash. I totally didn't see you there." Kaycie still could believe she didn't see Ashley walking right towards her.
"So what were you doing in such a hurry?"
"Actually, I was coming to talk to you." Kaycie remembered why she had even left the room.
"Oh. I was coming to talk to you. I was just wondering if you had any plans today? When Brian woke up he asked if we wanted to go spend the day with them at rehearsal. Would you want to go or do you have other plans?" Ashley was hoping that Kaycie didn't have other plans.
"Actually, I was coming to ask you the same thing. Nick asked if we would want to go with them today to the arena. I said I had to see what you were doing first." Kaycie was so relieved that Ashley wanted to go. She was worried that because Ashley was a tad confused over who she liked and wanted she wouldn't want to spend the day with them.
"Great. I really want to spend the day with Brian." Ashley knew how Kaycie would react to what she had just said.
"Whatever. I have to get my stuff together. I will see you on the bus." Kaycie said as she rolled her eyes at Ashley. She knew that Ashley didn't really want to be with Brian. Ashley just felt that she would be ditching Brian if she went for AJ. Brian is the one that brought them into the Backstreet Boys lives after all. How could she just leave him after he did that for her? Kaycie knew that Ashley had a good reason to stay with Brian but she really believed Brian would understand.
They all packed up and headed out towards the bus. The teenyboppers were still out there. Some had slept outside the hotel hoping that they would see the Backstreet Boys leaving. But, unfortunately the tour bus had gotten so close to the door that the boys exited they could see them. Luckily for Ashley and Kaycie they didn't see them either.
When they reached the arena they all went walked in and went right to the dressing room. In the dressing room, Boyd was sitting on the couch waiting for them.
"Hey guys…and girls. Who are you?" Boyd was surprised when he saw Kaycie and Ashley in the dressing room.
"Hi! I'm Ashley and this is my friend Kaycie. We're just friends of the guys." Ashley knew that Kaycie wouldn't be happy with the 'just friends' part of that statement. She could tell that Kaycie was really falling for Nick. Kaycie wouldn't spend the night with just any guy.
"Nice to meet you both. Now guys, you have to go do a sound check and all that other crap so you better get to it now." Boyd quickly got his point across.
"Alright Lessard, we will go right now. Calm down. It is all basically done from the night before." Kevin tried reasoning with Boyd. He was still tired from last night's performance.
"Hey Ashley, since we don't have a whole lot to do today we can go do something after we rehearse. It won't take us very long." Brian really wanted to spend time with Ashley.
"Sure. I was hoping your rehearsal wouldn't take you all day." Ashley felt that she had really made the right choice by picking Brian.
The guys went out on the stage and began warming up for that night's show. Ashley and Kaycie just watched them on the side waiting to be able to spend time with Brian and Nick.
"Hey Ash, can I ask you a question? And I want an honest answer." Kaycie look over at Ashley, who was watching AJ practice.
"Sure, what would you like to know?" Ashley had a feeling of what Kaycie was going to ask.
"Are you only spending time with Brian because he was the one you were talking to online? For some reason it seems like you would rather be with AJ." Kaycie knew that was going to piss Ashley off.
"NO!! I am spending time with Brian because BRIAN is the one I like and want to be with. And I wouldn't rather be with AJ…I just think he is funny. Is that ok with you?" Ashley was furious, but deep down she had a feeling Kaycie was right which pissed her off even more.
"Alright, alright. I just thought that since you spent the night in AJ's room that you really liked him. But whatever. It's your decision." Kaycie looked back over and started watching the guys again. She noticed Nick was coming towards her.
"Hey, they said we could take a little break. Do you want to go get a drink or something?" Nick looked so happy that he didn't have to rehearse anymore.
"Yeah. Let's go." Kaycie grabbed his hand and they headed backstage.
Brian walked up to Ashley when he saw Kaycie and Nick leaving.
"Ashley do you want to go get something to eat? There is a cafeteria right down the hall. We could get something to eat and talk for a little while since we didn't get a chance to last night."
"Sounds great." They headed off to eat. AJ stood on stage watching Ashley go off with Brian. He felt so hurt. He didn't understand why though. "I just met her." He thought.
Nick and Kaycie sat in the dressing room talking the entire hour. She enjoyed finding out what he was really like not just what people said he was like in person. Kaycie told Nick about where she grew up and how her and Ashley met. She told Nick some of the stupid things they had done together. He listened to every word she said and laughed at her stories. He couldn't believe that he was able to be with someone that didn't care that he was "Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys." She was everything that he had been wanting to find.
Brian and Ashley went down and go something to eat. They were sitting down talking to each other about some of the things they had talked about online. He liked knowing how normal people lived. He knew that it was far off from his life of touring and singing. The entire time they were talking Ashley felt like something was missing. She didn't feel as complete as she did when she was with AJ. They finished their lunch and walked back to the stage.
Nick and Kaycie were already there with the rest of the guys. They were all waiting for Brian to get back to continue with rehearsal. "Hey, I will see you later. We will go do something else before the show starts ok?" Brian really liked being with Ashley.
Ashley just nodded and Brian ran on stage. Kaycie walked over to Ashley.
"Ash, do you want to go take a nap while they are practicing? We can just go lay on the couches in their dressing room. I was up all night talking with Nick." Kaycie was hoping Ashley wasn't still pissed about earlier.
"That sounds like a good idea. I was up all night too." Ashley couldn't hold a grudge against Kaycie. She knew Kaycie was right. They headed off to the dressing room. They picked their couches and fell right to sleep.
Nick walked into the dressing room and saw Kaycie sleeping. He stared at Kaycie sleeping for a minute. He wanted to be with her for as long as he possibly could. He realized that if she woke up and saw him staring at he she might get scared so he lightly tapped her on her shoulder to try and wake he up.
"Hey Nick. What's up?" Kaycie said half asleep.
"Nothing much. We just finished and we were all going to go and get some dinner before the show. They wanted to know if you and Ashley wanted to come with us." Nick couldn't stop staring at her.
"Yeah. Give me five minutes. I will wake up Ashley. She will want to fix her bed head. We will meet you in the cafeteria." Kaycie couldn't stop herself from smiling when she spoke to Nick.
"Great!" Nick left the room and went to the cafeteria and joined the other guys.
Kaycie woke up Ashley. The fixed themselves up a little and headed to the cafeteria. They spotted the guys and walked over. Nick got up to let Kaycie in the booth.
"Where's Brian?" Ashley asked.
"He was tired so he decided to go back to the bus to get some rest before the show." AJ said as he slid over so Ashley could sit next to him.
"Oh. Is he feeling ok?" Ashley sat down.
"Yeah. Just tired." Kevin said while shoving food into his mouth.
"Hey, we were all talking and were wondering if you two would like to go with us to the next couple shows? I know that you have spring break now and nothing to do." Nick was praying that they would say 'yes'.
Kaycie and Ashley just looked at each other. They knew what the answer to that was without even discussing it.
"That would be great." Kaycie said. "Sounds like fun." Ashley answered.
"Cool. Whenever you need to go back to school we will just fly you back." Nick was so happy.
"I am going to go tell Brian that we are going to go with you guys." Ashley jumped up and headed to the bus. She was happy that they were going to be staying with them for a little while, but for some reason she wasn't as happy as she should have been.
Ashley reached the bus and the driver was standing outside.
"Hey Leroi, I just need to talk to Brian real quick." Ashley smiled and just walked passed him.
"Wait…" Leroi didn't get to finish. Ashley was already on the bus.
Ashley walked up the steps and headed towards the bunk beds. "What the hell is going on!?!?!?!" Ashley screamed. Leroi came running on the bus. She couldn't believe it. Brian was kissing some blonde slut. She pushed Leroi out of the way. "I can't fucking believe this!" She yelled as she stepped off the bus. She headed back towards the cafeteria.
