Play Dough 2
Materials:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 Teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 cup cold water
- food coloring (optional)
Method:
Combine all ingredients except food coloring
in a large skillet (non-stick is best).
Heat together on high heat stirring constantly.
It will get really thick.
Remove from heat and turn out onto a board.
Let it cool a little bit.
Knead for a couple of minutes. Knead food coloring
in. Let cool completely. Store in a heavy-duty zip-
locking type bag. Will keep for months as long as
it is not allowed to dry out.
Needs no refrigeration.
Puffy Sheep
A cute little project that is simple, yet sweet.
This project is rated EASY to do.
What You Need:
- 2 inch white pompon
- 3/4 inch white pompon
- 1/2 inch black pompon (or pink for a white sheep
- 2 black seed beads
- Black felt scraps for ears (or white for a white
sheep)
- Black pipe cleaner (or white for a white sheep
- 1/4 inch red ribbon
- 1 small bell
How To Make It:
Glue 3/4" white pompon (head) to 2" white pompon
(body).
Cut two 2" sections of black pipe cleaner.
Bend into a letter U. These are the legs.
Glue center of U into the center of the 2" pompon
one towards the head and the other towards the tail.
Glue 1/2" black pompon (nose) onto front of head.
Cut small leaf shaped ears from black felt and
glue on sides of head.
Glue black seed beads for eyes.
Tie red ribbon around neck and attach bell to
ribbon at the throat area.
