The 2002 7th Annual Poppa Lou was not without controversy. When Peter examined the score card of Team Gunn it was discovered that the golf card had not been signed, violating the rules of golf and disqualifying the Team Gunn. However, being a friends and family event, Fran was allowed to correct the omission, and Team Gunn was officially declared the winner of the 2002 event.
