How you awaken him depends upon your creativity. But
once you've got him up, offer him something
deliciously juicy.
PEACHY MIMOSAS
- 1 1/2 ounces peach nectar, chilled
- 1 1/2 ounces orange juice, chilled
- 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup
- 6 ounces (750 ml) champagne, chilled
Combine peach nectar and orange juice and stir well.
Spoon 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup into a
champagne glass. Fill with the chilled champagne
and juice mixture. Makes 1 drink.
Substitute freshly squeezed orange juice or another
citrus juice for the champagne if you
prefer a non-alcoholic beverage.
PASSION FRUIT SALAD
- 1 fresh, ripe mango, cubed (take a whiff before
you buy)
- 1 ripe peach, sliced
- 1 passion fruit (Buy this a few days
early...seldom is it ripe at the market)
- 1/3 cup fresh berries
- Mint leaves, for garnish
Pieces of luscious, ripe fruit are an undeniable
pleasure to eat. Slice a passion fruit in half,
hollow out the flesh, set diced fresh fruit
(including the passion fruit flesh) inside.
Substitute a melon, if you prefer.
