NEW YORK(Reuters) - The Toronto Raptors' flashy forward Vince Carter leads all players in voting for February's NBA All-Star Game, the league said on Tuesday.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson was second among Eastern Conference players while Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant of the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers led in the West.

Fan voting continues until Jan. 14 to choose starters. Remaining members of the All-Star teams are chosen by the head coaches.

Carter had received 291,551 votes followed by the Orlando Magic's Grant Hill (119,676) among Eastern forwards.

Miami Heat center Alonzo Mourning, out for the season with kidney disease, led Eastern centers with 109,584 votes followed closely by Philadelphia's Theo Ratliff (108,450).

Iverson had received 238,772 votes followed by Orlando's Tracy McGrady with 103,110 among Eastern guards.

O'Neal, the co-Most Valuable Player with Tim Duncan at last year's All-Star Game, was second overall in voting with 283,556 votes, with the San Antonio Spurs' David Robinson a distant second among Western centers with 55,884.

The Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Garnett led West forwards with 189,155 votes followed by the Portland Trail Blazers' Rasheed Wallace (177,250).

At guard in the West, Bryant, the current NBA scoring leader, had 221,138 votes followed by the Phoenix Suns' Jason Kidd (151,952).

Fans vote at the NBA's 29 arenas, via the league web site, NBA.com, and in movie theaters in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Starters will be announced on Saturday, Jan. 27. The coaches' selections will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

The game on Sunday, Feb. 11, in Washington, D.C., will be broadcast in more than 200 countries.
