Anytime I visit websites, I always look to see if there is a page that talks about the webmaster or webmistress. Call me crazy, but I like knowing a little bit about the people behind the sites that I spend so much time at. So here is a little peek into the life and times of Melissa... the girl behind *this* site!
My name is Melissa and I am a (as of today, December 18, 1999!) 22 year old college student from Brooklyn, NY. I decided to create this site after receiving the best birthday present I could have ever dreamed of... an autographed picture of the Brothers Gibb! I screamed when I opened it, and couldn't put it down! That's when I decided that the time had come... I was going to create my own Bee Gees site!
I have been a Bee Gees fan for as long as I can remember. I was born in 1977 and grew up in a house where my parents played the Bee Gees all the time. I knew all the words to "Stayin' Alive" by the time I was 5, and the fixation grew from there! Anytime a Bee Gees song would come on the radio (or anytime I played a record) I would cry. For the past 22 years I have collected their records, followed their careers, and let me hopes rise and rise about seeing them live in concert.
That's my ultimate dream... to see the Bee Gees perform live in concert! I was supposed to fly out to Las Vegas to see them perform at the MGM Grand a couple of years ago, but sadly the plans fell through, and it never happened. I tell everyone that when the Bee Gees come around again, I will do whatever it takes to get first row center seats and have the time of my life!
