Buffy Summers

The Vampire Slayer. Buffy was originally from LA. Living a normal life, having many friends, being a cheerleader, Buffy had the perfect life. But, she began to have strange nightmares about killing Vampires. It was in her blood that she must be the new Slayer. A Watcher, Merrik, was sent to train her. There she began her Slayer training. Under the teachings of Merrik, she finished her training. Because of a massive vampire attack at a school dance, her watcher was killed, and she was forced to burn down the gym where the vampires were killed. Buffy was expelled because of that incident, and she and her mother, Joyce, moved to Sunnydale, CA. After enrolling in Sunnydale High, she became close friends with Willow and Xander. Unknowing, Sunnydale is the location of the Hellmouth, the center for demonic activities. Knowing this, The Watcher's Council sent Giles, to be Buffy's new watcher. Forced back into being a Slayer, Buffy now protects Sunnydale from demons. Soon, she made a close relationship with Angel, a cursed Vampire who does not work for evil. Buffy and Angel fell in love. Because of one moment of true happiness, Angel turned back into evil. He, Spike, and Druscilla worked together to torment Sunnydale. Buffy was forced to kill Angel, who began torturing her friends. Because of the loss of her love, Buffy left Sunnydale to live her life differently. Realizing that she couldn't live without her friends and family, she soon returned. Her friends accepted her back and her life returned to normal, but could she live without Angel? After a few months, Angel returned back from hell for some unknown reasons. He was good again, but Buffy's relationship with him was rocky. Buffy was killed for few minutes because of drowning, but was brought back through CPR. Because she had died, even for a few seconds, a new Slayer was sent to replace Buffy at Sunnydale. She was Kendra. Kendra understood that Buffy was the Slayer, so she went back to her watcher to train. After Kendra died, a new Slayer came, she was Faith. Not understood, and mostly a loner, Faith left Buffy's friendship and began to work for the Mayor, who was a demon planning on killing everyone in Sunnydale through a demon Ascension on graduation day. Buffy and Faith soon became enemies. Meanwhile, the Council noticed that Buffy and Giles had created father-daughter bond. The Council fired Giles, and sent Wesley to train Buffy. Buffy was now on her third Watcher. But she still had a closeness with Giles. Buffy never really payed attention to Wesley, but he still tried his best. Angel was attacked by Faith with a certain poison. The only way to save him was from the blood of a slayer. There was only Buffy and Faith. Because of Buffy's hatred for Faith, Buffy went to find Faith. After a long fight, Buffy had pushed Faith off her apartment building, but Faith fell onto a truck and had gotten away. Without Faith, Buffy had to let Angel feed off of her. Angel refused, but Buffy forced him to. Angel was all right, but after that, Buffy was hospitalized. Next to her room was Faith in a coma. The Mayor had came to visit, and tried to kill Buffy, but Angel had stopped him. Through a strange dream, Buffy and Faith reconciled, and Faith could die in peace. In order to kill the Mayor after his Ascension into a demon, Buffy had to get his attention psychologically. Already planning for the whole graduation class to attack his monstrous form, Buffy was really the only one that could stop him. After grabbing his attention with Faith's knife, a gift the Mayor gave to her. Buffy lured him inside the school, where explosives were ready to stop him. She ran out the back way, and the Mayor had been killed. After graduating, Buffy will now attend Sunnydale's local college to continue with Slaying. She will be with her friends, but knowing that they could not be, Angel had left Buffy. Buffy was crushed, but she knew she had to move on.

Willow Rosenburg

The Witch. Growing up in Sunnydale, Willow had been friends with Xander all her life. Quiet, but smart, Willow was not really the most popular girl in school. Her parents had gotten divorced, but she lived with mother. Even so, her mother never really payed attention to her. If it wasn't for Buffy, she and Xander would have been killed by Vampires. Sadly, another one of her friends, Jesse, was killed. When Buffy came to town, Willow became a very important part of Buffy's team. Having great interest with paranormal activities, Willow is always willing to look in an ancient book to search for a weakness of a demon. Along with her interest, Willow is a hacker. She finds people on the web, gets layouts of a museum, or searches for information on cults. After a while Willow became interested in magic, she started reading info on the black arts. Still learning, she is still capable of using her magic to help as much as she can. Her involvement with the Internet almost cost her her life. She was tricked by a demon, Moloch, who was trapped inside computers. It created a robotic form, and had almost killed her. Luckily she and Buffy stopped it before it could do any damage. Soon, she met Oz, who was in a band and struck her attention. They fell in love. Even though Oz is a werewolf, Willow saw past that. But, Willow's friendship with Xander was becoming much more. They were starting to fall for each other. Not being able to live with that, Willow told Oz, and they reconciled. The day before the Mayor's Ascension, she and Oz did there "panicking". But there is still some connection between her and Xander. Willow is Buffy's best friend. When Angel became evil again, Willow stood by her. When Angel came back and Buffy kept it a secret, Willow forgave her. After graduation, Willow had a chance to go to any school in the US, and some in Europe, but she decided to stay in Sunnydale. She felt better fighting evil with Buffy and co., than studying in some fancy European school.

Xander Harris

The go-get-it guy. Growing up with Willow in Sunnydale, she and Xander were very much the same. His parents were always fighting. In fact, every Christmas, he would spend the night camping outside, as to not hear them. With nothing special about him, Xander is always ready to go to the magic shop to get a special ingredient or find out any information he can. When Buffy came to Sunnydale, he felt attracted to her. Trying to get her attention, he soon gave up trying. Buffy's love for Angel had created friction between him and Xander. One Halloween, strange costumes had consumed Xander and his friends. Buffy in a princess costume, became a princess. Willow in a ghost costume, became a ghost. And Xander with an army costume, became a sergeant. When the spell was broken, each of them remembered everything that happened in between. Xander's extensive knowledge of military weapons would help them in the future. When Angel had become evil, Xander was just waiting to say "I told you so." Angel had been preparing to unleash a demon who consumes souls, but with Xander, the Master was stopped. Needing heavy firepower to destroy the Master, the only way to stop him was with explosives, or a rocket launcher. Xander knew of a rocket launcher in a nearby army base, taught Buffy how to use it, and she was able to stop the Master. Not having much luck with women, Xander even came close to being eaten by a praying mantis disguised as a teacher. He fell for Cordelia. Willow was angry with Xander for liking Cordelia, but she understood. But with Xander, not being a popular guy, and Cordelia, being one of the most popular girls in school, she had to keep their relationship a secret. Not being able to withstand it, Xander's relationship was out of the dark. But soon Xander and Cordelia couldn't stand each other. Xander's small love for Willow didn't help much either. He and Cordelia parted ways. When Faith came along, Xander was slightly attracted to her, and they did there own "panicking" also ;). The Mayor's Ascension was coming near. Another being has Ascended into a demon, and it took volcano to stop it. A bazooka wouldn't cut it that time. Buffy had her own plan. A part of that needed Xander. With his war skills, and weapon knowledge, Xander had gathered the graduating class of 1999, and with enough firepower, they prevented the Mayor's Ascended demon from devouring the people of Sunnydale. Going on a road trip over the summer, Xander will come back to Sunnydale for college. But his relationship with Cordelia will never be. Even though they still have a spark, Cordelia will be moving to LA.

Rupert Giles

The Watcher. Little is known about Giles. What we do know is that he graduated from Oxford. Through the Council, Giles was trained in various forms of combat against Vampires. He has an extensive knowledge on thousands of kinds of demons. The Library at Sunnydale High serves his purpose for reference on demonology. Giles is Buffy's second Watcher. Acting almost as a fatherly figure to her, Buffy can talk to Giles about anything. Coming to Sunnydale around the same time as Buffy, he was sent by the Council to continue her training after her first watcher died. Even though strict rules forbid it, he has let Buffy's friends know she is the Slayer, and he also lets them help out. Not one to take in the action, Giles will lend in some fighting skills if needed. Giles is always there to make a plan or give advice. He has fallen in love only once, with Ms. Jenny Calender, Sunnydale High's computer teacher. Ms. Calender was from an ancient tribe that was tormented by Angel's evil self. To put a stop to him and have revenge, the tribe cursed him to be a good Vampire. She was sent to stop Angel from having one moment of true happiness with Buffy. Unfortunately, she failed. Angel became evil. Giles tried to console Buffy. Angel would torture each on of her friends before getting to Buffy herself. Ms. Calender had been the first. Giles had just begun to fall in love with her. On the brink of finding a cure for Angel, Ms. Calender was attacked by him, and later she had been killed. Giles was scheduled to meet her. When he got to her, it was too late. Knowing it was Angel, Giles rushed to the warehouse where he hid. In a fit of rage, he attacked Angel with a 2x4. He was no match for Angel, but luckily Buffy had gotten there in time. The warehouse was burning down. Buffy, with a scorn hatred for Angel, was close to killing him. But Giles was in danger of the burning warehouse. She saved Giles, but Angel was still on the loose. A few months later, Angel had all the tools needed for raising every demon on earth. He had captured Giles to find the spell to release the demons. He and Druscilla tortured Giles and created hallucinations of Ms. Calender, to get the spell to awaken the demons. Buffy planned to rescue Giles and stop Angel. Meanwhile searching on Jenny's computer, Willow noticed a disk on the floor in between the desk and the wall. She searched it, on it was a spell to cure Angel. Xander had freed Giles, but Buffy still had Angel to stop. Right when Willow cured Angel, Buffy had killed him. It was too late. But Giles, being the fatherly figure to Buffy, could not console her in anyway. When Angel returned, and Buffy kept it a secret, Giles was less than forgiving. He was literally tortured by Angel. He forgave Buffy, but still had to work on Angel. With all that went on with Buffy, the Council was noticing that Giles was getting to attached with her. Knowing that there bond would be the death of the Slayer, they relieved Giles as Buffy's Watcher. Now he was only a librarian. In his place, they sent Wesley. In a comical way, Buffy wouldn't bother to even listen to him. She knew that Giles's knowledge and experience went far beyond Wesley's. Still, she gave him slight respect. After the Mayor's Ascension was over, Wesley had all but given up on trying to be Buffy's Watcher. It is still unknown if Giles will be renamed her Watcher. But you could still see there father-daughter closeness. After graduation, Giles was able to retrieve Buffy's diploma from the wreckage. He will continue to be the librarian, and "watch" over Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Oz

The werewolf. Not much is known about Oz. Supposabley living in Sunnydale all his life, Oz made his way sociably by playing the guitar in a band. He always seems to stay mellow and cool. He never says much, but is always ready to lend a hand. With Oz a year ahead of everyone, he had less time to interact with them when he graduated. But due to incorrect records, the year after his graduation, he would have to return to school for a few classes each day. He is a year ahead of Buffy and co. Playing nights in the Bronze is where Oz first met Willow. He was struck by her shyness, intelligence, and looks. Noticing her around school, he asked her out, and they were a match. It was Oz and Willow. Willow and Oz. But beneath all that, Oz did have a secret. Around Sunnydale, mysterious murders occurred. People spotted a wolf creature. Unknowing, Oz had a baby cousin who just happened to be a werewolf. Oz was bitten by the baby, and surprise, became a werewolf himself. When he heard the news of the murders, he was devastated. Ashamed by himself, Oz could not even look at Willow. Willow, who obviously cares for Oz very much, sees past that, and even tries to find a cure. Every full moon, Willow is always there to sedate him before he becomes a werewolf. Oz never says much about anyone, but when it comes to evil demons or other baddies, he'll help out as much as he can. Willow cares for him very much, but does Oz care about her equally? When the Mayor had kidnaped Willow, Oz was the most determined to get her back. In order to get her, Buffy had to exchange a box of Ascension to the Mayor. Wesley couldn't hear of it, and was strictly prohibiting the box from being taken. He ordered it to be destroyed. But in order to do that, you would need a special bowl. While everyone was arguing, Oz cooly walked over to the pot, pushed it on the ground, broke it, and made only one choice. It was proven that Oz equally cared about Willow, and "panicked" the night before graduation day. He still remains with the rest of Buffy and co.

Spike and Druscilla

The Vampires. His real name is William the Bloody. The reason that he is called Spike is because he used railroad spikes on his victims. Spike created carnage around the seventeenth century, with the evil Angel. Angel also made friends with Druscilla. Druscilla, having a wonderful life, took Angel's notice. She had a strange telepathic power that her town called a curse. After her family was gone, with Druscilla on the brink of insanity, she was created into a Vampire by Angel. Not one of his crowing moments. After Angel had been cursed, Druscilla was left alone in the dark. Spike was there to reach out to her, and they became very close friends. Looking at Druscilla's condition, Spike had hated Angel ever since. Traveling around the world, Spike and Druscilla found themselves at Sunnydale. Ruling himself as supreme in Sunnydale, Spike even went as far as to eliminate the Anointed One. When he met Buffy, he knew he had a challenge ahead. With fairly equal fighting skills, Spike new to watch his back whenever he met up with Buffy. He thought up everything he could, but he was held back by Druscilla's weakness. She was severely in body and mind, and the only way to save her was from the blood of Angel. Spike's plans were succeeded, and because of a even a drop from Angel, Druscilla was back on her feet. She was back into the game. Spike and Druscilla were the head bad guys town. It looked all but lost for Buffy and co. Druscilla was obsessed with Angel. She had pure hatred for Angel. But unfortunately, Angel had become evil again. She had a change of "heart" and fell in love with Angel again. Spike was outraged, but he did not show it. In a wheelchair because of an accident, he had no way of getting Druscilla back. When he found out that Buffy had it out for Angel, he gladly offered to team with het to stop him. The catch was that he would get Druscilla back, but they would have to leave Sunnydale for good. Agreeing without question, Spike got his part of the deal done. He had gotten Druscilla, but Buffy was being heavily beaten by Angel. Not really caring, he just left with his love. Luckily, Buffy had not died. A few months had passed, Spike seemed to have broken part of his deal. He returned to Sunnydale, but not to destroy it. Druscilla was outraged with Spike for separating her and Angel. Spike had returned to see if Willow could cast a love spell on Druscilla. Watch next season for the return of Spike.
