If it truly is free and you can spare the time, grab away,

but be on the lookout for pawn-as-bait trickery,

which may lure your pieces away from the upcoming battle.

Beware, too, that you might be doing your opponent a favor;

you don't want to clear up the other player's cramped space or uncover

threats to yourself.

Usually, if you look around, you'll see something more worthwhile

than pawns upon which to set your cross hair.
