Deep

Waves gently lapped the storm torn shore.
What was once there, is no more.

The Sea is an unpredictable thing
and you'd never believe the tales she could sing.
But all her secrets she'll closely keep.
Tales of shipwrecks way down in the deep
Where unsung heros lye--forever asleep.
And long forgoten treasure rusts away
in depths so dark night melts into day.
Tales of lost souls close by the shore
who never knew the sea held Death's door.
And flying ships that were never meant to float,
but sank as well as any boat.

Once, not so long ago,
to my home you had to row,
across the sea where the currents flow.
But then a storm of gale force blew
And now the sea holds my secrets, too.
