Companions of Sylvester McCoy

Here are Sylvester McCoy's companions.
Okay, so maybe 'companion' would be more acurate...

Ace (Sophie Aldred)

Ace was origanaly from Earth in the 1980s. However, she inadvertantly created a time storm in her bedroom that whisked her off to a planet in the distant future. She got a job serving icecream to annoying customers and, when the Doctor finally entered her life, was as miserable on her new planet as she had been on Earth.
Ace was a very deep and, quite frankly, disturbed character. She hated her mother, made bombs of "Nitro-9" so that she could watch things blow up, and had serious anger management issues. Her time with the Doctor helped to mellow her considerably and she even delt with her hating of the mother issue while she was with him. Granted it wasn't done with straight, psycoanalitical therapy, but traveling into the past, meeting your own mother as a baby without realizing it, loving the baby with all your heart, then realizing that the baby is your mother and that you loved and protected her, while at the same time creating your own future, works as a psycological exercise, too.
Ace was my hero when I was growing up, as she was to many other little girls, I'm sure. I wanted to blow things up and bash dalek's heads in with baseball bats and talk with a cool, "lower-class" British accent, just like her. My mother was, of course, thrilled with all this, but did tend to suggest that maybe Zoe Harriet (2nd Doctor) or Sara Jane Smith (3rd-4th Doctor) might be better characters to model myself after. But since nither of those people made I habit of blowing things up, I ignored her. Hey, even the Doctor would have to admit, however much it might pain him, that Ace's Nitro-9 saved the day on more than one occasion.

I'm kind of a big fan. Can you tell?
