Sunday - 25th: Spring had arrived 5 days ago. While the weather had been very windy, at least the temperatures had started to warm-up. Friday's High was 55 and Saturday's was 52. A Cold Front swept across Long Island late Saturday afternoon. Temperatures dropped to an overnight low of 30 degrees. This looked like the last of the real cold weather for the season. There had been talk of some snow flurries Monday afternoon. An Alberta Clipper, that had very cold air aloft, would swing through to give the flurries. However, Old Man Winter wasn't quite ready to give up. This was issued at 3 PM:

Between 10-11:15, the snow came down moderate to heavy at times. By noon, there was just over 2 inches on the ground, but roads were generally just wet.

By 3:30 PM, there was almost 3 inches on the ground, but roads remained just wet. At 4 PM, the sun broke through the clouds. 2.8 inches of snow on the ground. Hopefully this is the LAST SNOW.
