Engine Company 2342 Apparatus
Engine Company 2 is a two piece Engine Company. Running out of the West End firehouse is 2342 and 2352. The Engines are responsible for protecting the City of Long Beach as well as the West and East Atlantic Beach Fire Districts.
Engine 2342
Lovingly known as the fastest engine around, unit 2342 is our "pride and joy". A 1998 R.D. Murray body over a Spartan chassis, combined with a huge Detroit turbo deisel and an outrageous gear ratio makes this beast move.
Engine 2352
A 1982 American La France which was suppossed to go to the Bronx, is our back-up engine. Even though she's gettin' old, we still love that trusty pump. Ease of operation make this one of the greatest engines around.
