Engine Comapny 2 is now home to two Department Chiefs. On April 5th at the Dept. Elections 1st Asst' Chief Chief Richard Digiacomo stepped up to become the leader of the LBFD, and will be the new Chief of Department. In a close contested race for 2nd Asst' Chief Ex-Captain Raplh Tuccillo was elected the new 2nd Asst Chief of the Department. Engine 2 is going to miss Ralph for six years and we wish the guys the best of luck

2nd Asst Chief Michael Schunk of Tower Ladder 72 did not seek election to 1st Asst Chief spot due to conflict with the UFA. Ex-Chief Scott Kemins has come back and will fill Mike's spot. Engine 2 wishes to thank Chief Schunk for his dedication and hard work.

Captain Joseph Miller will be the company leader for another year. Jerry Leo and Joseph DeFranco will serve as his Lieutenants. Congrats to you guys and we all look forward to a good year.

Firefighter Michael Hartman of Engine 42 was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the NYPD. Mike will be assigned to the 101 PCT in Far Rockaway. Congrats and Good Luck.

The Department Installation will be Saturday April 28th at the Marriot Hotel in Uniondale the festivities will kick off at 6pm Back to Main Page
