Peaceful day
The hazy purple clouds
in the beautiful blue sky.
The sun sets over the horizon.
See the red-orange fire emerging from the sun
over the calm river.

A tree grows
Why does it grow?
Nobody knows
It could be oak, pine or redwood
And the maple ones give us maple syrup
With its bark so brown
And its trunk so rough and round
It stands so silently sound
It's the oxygen for my lungs
And the beauty for my eyes
A tree is what keeps us alive
So why does a tree grow?
I know why

he's cold to me
like ice,
and yet I long
for him
my love.

My Shattered World

You broke my heart like an empty glass.
You didn't care, just rode on past.

I try not to show the pain inside me,
But when I'm alone I cry, hoping you won't see.

I try to go on without you there
But my heart is weary and in deep dispair.

I hope one day I can find someone new.
Someone who respects me, no one like you.

You built up my hopes then tore down my dreams.
That's when I realized that Love isn't always what it seems.

You were my first love and the one I want to stay.
You always had advice for a better day.

Then once again you'd show your evil side.
You'd run over me with a sick sense of pride.

Although I love you and I probably always will,
I couldn't go through the heartache and making myself ill.

My memories of you in a ball are curled.
Now I'll try to pick up the pieces of my shattered world.

What is it like to kiss someone?
Are their lips soft like a red rose petal
Do they taste like sweet honey
And melt in pure bliss simultaneously with your own?
Do you hear music playing softly in the background
And feel the warmth of spring?
What is it truly like to kiss someone?
