After I left the Hard Rock Cafe, I drove around for awhile thinking. 'Why did Brian do that? He loves me, but did he expect me to kiss him back? But I liked the kiss-wait I can't think that. I'm engaged. I love Ben, but Brian, STOP THINKING ABOUT BRIAN! I don't love Brian.' I kept thinking that, but the more I said it, the less I believed it.
I finally decided to go home. When I got there, I saw Ben's car in front of it, so I kept driving. I couln't face him right now. I ended up driving to my best friend's house.
When Ami, my best friend, answered the door, I started babbling. "Oh my god! I met Brian for lunch today and all I planned on doing there was talking, but then he said he loved me and he kissed me! I really like the kiss, but I'm engaged to Ben and-"
"Cassie! Take a chill pill! And don't just stand there. Come in and talk about it."
A little while later, after I finished telling Ami what happened since last night, I went back to my house. When I got there, Ben was still there. I knew I had to talk to him, but as soon as he asked me how lunch went, I blew up at him.
"Why the hell is everyone asking me that!? Nothing happened today! Now I want to be alone! LEAVE!" Ben was surprised because I never yelled at him before, but he left.

When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I did was call Ben. He wasn't there, or he didn't bother picking up the phone, so I left a message. "Ben, I know you probably don't feel like talking to me right now, but I had to call and say I'm sorry. Well, I guess that's it. Bye." With that, I hung up the phone.
As soon as I did, the phone rang. It was Ami. "Hey Cassie. I know you're upset about what happened yesterday, so we're going on a trip. I'm not telling you where though. Just pack clothes that you would wear in warm weather. I'll pick you up at noon."
"I'm guessing I have to say yes?"
"Yup, now I'll see you in a couple hours."
After I got off the phone with Ami, I called Ben again and told him I was going out of town with Ami.
A couple hours later, Ami and I were sitting on a plane in first class. that's when she finally told me that we were going to Virginia Beach.
We were some of the first people on the plane. When we were putting our carry-on bags on the shelf things (I don't know what they're called!), a group of people sat down in front of us. One of them dropped a magazine. I picked it up and gave it back to the person. When I looked in the seats in front of me, I was starring at Nick Carter and Brian Littrell.
"Um, hi Nick, Brian. Here's your magazine, you dropped it." I said handing it to Nick. Then I quickly turned around. Ami must have noticed that something was wrong because she asked me about it.
I said very quietly, "Look in the seat in front of us."
She did what i told her to, and when she sat back down, her mouth was wide open. "What the hell are they doing here?"
I shrugged my shoulders and grabbed a book from my bag and started reading.
Meanwhile, Nick and Brian were talking softly so I didn't hear them. "OK, now I'm sure Cassie thinks I'm following her."
"What were the chances we would end up on the same plane," Nick said, trying to help.
"Pretty good if we're sitting right in front of her!" Brian said, a little lauder then he meant to.
I heard them and stuck my head around Nick's seat. "If you guys want to talk about me, do it so I can't hear you. Thank you." Then I went back to my own seat and started reading again.
Halfway through the flight, Brian and I were both thinking about each other. We both wanted to talk to each other but neither of us knew what to say. Finally, I realized that if I wanted to talk to Brian, I had to do it now. "I'll be right back," I told Ami. She nodded because she knew I was going to talk to Brian.
I stood up and said to Nick, "Can we switch seats? I need to talk to Brian." Nick nodded and went to sit with Ami, while Brian was giving me an amused look.
"I had to talk to you. Don't say anything, just listen." Brian nodded. "OK, about yesterday. I have to admit, I liked the kiss, but it kind of took me by surprise...OK, it really took me by surprise, but my point is, I still have feelings for you."
"But what about Ben, or whatever his name is?"
"I don't know, but I do know that I still love you."
We quickly kissed, then we heard laughing behind us. It was Nick and Ami. "I knew you guys would get back together! You're too perfect for each other!" Nick said, in between laughs.
Shortly after the four of us started talking, the plane landed in Virginia. We realized that we were all staying at the Marriot, so we drove there together.
In the car, Kevin said to me, "I knew you looked familiar that night at the concert!"
I started laughing and said, "I know. I knew I would be recognized!"
Since it was 7:00 when we checked in, Brian and I went out to dinner. Then we walked along the beach. "I wish we never broke up. We were perfect-"
"We are perfect Cassie,"
"Not yet. Wait, that sounded better in my head. I hope we become perfect, but I still have to end things with Ben, and I can't help but feel bad for doing that, but I love you."
"I know. I love you too. I'll be there whenever you need me," Brian said softly.
"I know, but right now, let's forget about it." Brian and I sat down on the sand and talked for almost three hours, but then I got tired. Brian walked me to my room.
"Goodnight Cassie. I love you."
"I love you too. Goodnight," I said before I kissed Brian. Then I walked into my hotel room.
