I totally agree with you on boy groups. It pisses me off especially when you see people call them "boy bands"! What the Hell are they talking about??? Let's get something straight...BANDS play and write their OWN MUSIC. Also, songs with many meanings. I was talking to this girl 2 days ago and she asked me what I was listening to on my CD headset and I said MetallicA. She said something about them but I couldn't make it out 'cause she was mumbling or something. Then she comments how she LOVES Kid Rock. But before mentioning how great his music is, (although the only songs I like from him are "Bawitiba" and "Only God Knows Why") she says how "hot" he is! Now, MetallicA and Kid Rock are pretty much basically in the same music genre, right? How can she like one from the other?

Also, (this is just pathetic) she is a big fan of Lip Sync! And what's even worse is that her locker in school is right next to mine! So everytime I have to go make a pit stop at my locker to exchange books for class, I gotta see their fake, trendy, no-talent, ugly-ass faces 5 days a week on a normal school week!

Why don't the people that play the instruments for these groups get credit on the CDs??? My best theory is that they will have a huge identity crisis if word gets out that they wrote music for them. I don't blame them that they won't admit that they wrote music for these sorry-asses.

I also live in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Boasting to be on WMMS (A kick-ass Rock radio station of Cleveland) the Rock and Roll Capitol of the World. How is this possible? Out here in Parma Hts. I see nothing more than white people wearing Fubu (Fubu only offends me when white people wear it), teenie-bopper girls who wear too much make-up who are stuck up thinking that they are better than anyone else, who love stupid boy groups and fake solo artists.

Also for this Ricky Martin assface, he needs to get rid of his ego and go back to where he came from, but I guess he won't because he knows gullible American teen girls will buy anything as long as it's considered "cool" or "hot". I have to also put up with this bullshit when I go rollerblading in the rink down a couple of blocks. And just yesterday when I requested "BLue Monday" by Orgy, he said they didn't have it anymore! I asked him also later on if we could bring in Rock music if it's "skate-worthy", but he said no, only allowing to play "top 40". This is bullshit. And this hisck has the nerve to then play country music! I only give the credit to country because they are original and write their own music. but it's so damn annoying! Where was I? Oh yea, Pricky Fartin. Isn't this Vida Loca shit getting old? I mean, hearing his songs ZERO times is MORE THAN ENOUGH!!! That song is so old and it's still all you hear! Then the bon-bon-bullshit. He says somewhere down the song saying "I'm a desperado". HA! He thinks HE'S a deperado??? In the movie "Desperado" Antonio Bandaras played that part pretty good. My dad and I did the body count a few years back and we ended somewhere up I think in the 70s and he got shot 7 or 8 times. Now, Pricky Fartin on the other hand...well....YOU CAN SHOOT THIS GUY DOWN WITH FUCKING BLANKS!!!

Like I said, the way I know this shit is 'cause at times I'm forced to listen to it when I go to certain places. I am almost getting in fights with the DJ at my school when school dances show. The DJ PROMISED us he'd play KoRn's "Freak on a Leash" but wouldn't in the end and I was pissed along with my friend Joe. He said some shit about the school wouldn't allow him. Total bullshit! Meanwhile, he plays "Doin' It" by LL Cool J in the middle of the dance!

And from the looks of it, it is true that all these stupid groups and solo artists come to America. Like I said, "GULLABLE AMERICAN YOUNG TEENIE BOPPER GIRLS WILL BUY ANYTHING AS LONG AS IT'S COOL". I can't help but feel guilty when I say the word "cool". Those trendies took our word! Now "cool" is an adjetive decribing what 'the thing' today. There is no such thing as 'cool' anymore. It's all opinionated.

Now, if you're looking for REAL talent, you should've been at the M2K concert in Cleveland on New Year's Day. That was the most energetic, powerful, talented, entertaining concert I've ever seen! It's amazing to see how they sold out the concert in only 24 MINUTES!!! And I hear MTV gloating about how BSB sould out their entire tour of North America in less than an hour. HA! MetallicA would most likely sell out their entire North American tour in less than HALF OF THAT. But they don't do that sort of thing. They sell tickets in different areas at different times. And it's awesome to see all the RESPECT they get from the fans. When MetallicA says they love their fans, THEY FUCKING LOVE THEIR FANS DAMMIT! They know exactly why the fans love them: Because MetallicA is down to Earth and plays (in my opinion) the best music of this day! It's fucked up to see idiots say "Ooh, they sell out. The new MetallicA is horrible, they totally sold out...blah,blah,blah,whah,whah,whah..." Sell out do shit for money and that's it. MetallicA did this for the sole purpose of seeing what else they can write. If they were anything like a sellout, they would've been out of the business when Load came out. Load is a great album. I love load. Yes I love more of Old MetallicA, but the new stuff is nothing to complain about. I think also the thing they did with the SF Symphony is great. They totally did a kickass job witht he 2 new songs with the symphony, and the cover albums kicks a ton of ass. Notice I say RESPECT. It is totally different from POPULARITY. MetallicA or any other, well, most of rock bands were popular. They were respected. Many hairbands though were in it for just women. But true rock musicians that remain today were in it for the enjoyment of music. Popularity usually now means it's "the thing" today. Respected will usually mean that if it's 10 years old and still kicks ass today because they did and do what they feel. Notice also how a boy group doesn't fall into this but for the Popularity thing.

I also agree with you on MTV needs to wise up on how things should be. They seem to also forget that ROCK IS WHAT MADE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. Hell, that M doesn't have much meaning anymore does it? It's not really music on there anymore. Just Trend. So I have to crawl to VH1 for more rock music to see. But mostly I'll just pop in a CD. You don't even see any correspondants for Rock related things except for Carson Daily. He seems like the only one who does like rock and doesn't like trend. But he can't day he hates boy groups and shit like that, MTV owns him now. He's got a copyright mark somewhere on his ass with MTV written next to it (Obviously I'm joking around here. I would never look at a man's bare ass. But hey, I wouldn't be suprised if it was true! Haha). We gotta try hard to get Rock and anti-trend back in World command. Before our world is absent minded and blinded from their instincts from an evil we now know as Trend. Stupid teenie boppers. KILL LOU PEARLMAN!
