TOOLS POLICY

6.15.2 LIMITED TOOLS PIT

The following lists of tools are tools that have limitations in the limited tool pit:
A. Come-along if used for pulling: minimum 2 ton rating
B. Chains: rated for the tool they are to be used with. I.e.: rescue chains with come-along, spreader chains rated by the manufacturer to use with a spreader.
C. Definition of Hydraulic Tools allowed: Tools that require manual manipulation to work and are not powered by an auxiliary power source such as: fuel, air, electricity, water, etc.
Only 1 manual pump can operate the following:
1 spreader} OR 1 cutter } 1 combination spreader/cutter
1 ram of each size
D. Any tools not listed will be allowed in the limited tool pit should they qualify under the policy.

The following list of tools will be minimum that a local host may allow/furnish in the limited and unlimited pit:

Definition of light hydraulic tools :
- to be constructed as tools which are attached by a single hose on a permanent mechanical basis to a small manual hydraulic pump or have an integral pump and hydraulic reservoir combined.
Limit: (1) cutter, (1) spreader, (1) mini cutter, and (1) each size ram.
