Dark Star
I swear I saw the Dark Star
on a sweltering summers eve
I was setting near the river
my special place, when I need to grieve

It illuminated the horizon
a gentle breeze blew through my hair
I was reminded of the good old days
when Jerry's smile would take me there

I've never seen it shine so bright
why now, what could this mean
then it flashed, and a face appeared
it was Jerry, Jerry looking down at me

I started to tremble, as I choked on my words
I stuttered and gasp, for I knew not what to say
I held out my hands as I started to weep
please Jerry, please show me the way

I explained that I felt lost
that I hurt, and had nowhere to go
without your magic to light the way
its like a body with no life, no energy, no soul

A small tear dripped from his eye
then another made its way down his cheek
it was then that he spoke
he said, My friend I know that your weak

He said, I don't quite understand though
through the years I've shown you the light
you have all the knowledge and wisdom
so spark it up, let it shine bright

He followed with more wisdom
as if to pat me on the head
you need me not in your world
remember your already Dead

So put some kind in your mind
and let that freak flag fly
because if you successfully do
I shall never really die

I must have felt a little bit of comfort
for the trembling had gone away
then the sillouette seemed to fade
as he said, I have one more thing to say

My friend please remember, its a two way street
I shall always love you, as much as you have loved me
so when you are hurting, or feel all alone
seek out the DARKSTAR,
that's where I'll be.

The Fishing Spot
How shall I describe that wild , beautiful stream,
with features so like those of all other mountain streams?
And yet, as I saw it in the deep twilight of those woods
on that June afternoon, with its steady, even flow, and its tranquil,
many-voiced murmur, it made an impression upon my mind.
Distinct and peculiar, fraught in an eminent degree with the charm
of seclusion and remoteness.
