LOOK UP THE VERSES FOR YOURSELF HERE! The only difference between your religion and mine is that you consider all of the world's hundreds of religions to be false except yours. If there are a thousand religions, you and I agree on the fact that 999 of them are complete nonsense. Only I include: Below are just a few of the world's religions rejected by Christians. But, it's a start. Now, the Christian must select the demonination which most reflects their own image of God.According to David B. Barrett, coauthor of the World Christian Encyclopedia, there are now 33,800 different Christian denominations. “And the fastest-growing are the independents, who have no ties whatsoever to historic Christianity,” he says. With this many "interpretations" of the Bible, it's no wonder that Christianity is now the world's largest and fastest growing religion. Each one of these denominations interprets the Bible a little differently. And each one of them claims to interpret the Bible "correctly." Each denomination claims exclusivity to the truth which means that 32,799 of them are wrong. Or, they're all wrong. This website's only purpose is to present you with the facts, ask that you examine them, and decide for yourself. All along this website are references to actual Bibles from which we ask you to please look up the verses for yourself. God's true laws such as the law of gravity and the speed of light are unalterable. Not one man can create a blade of grass, yet any man can write words. Assemblies of God (the most conservative)

For a sampling of the varied Christian denominations, click here. Each of the pastors of each of these churches within these many denominations is a self-proclaimed "expert" at understanding the Bible. They claim to "understand" it. Yet hardly two pastors even within the same denomination (Example: Baptists) understand it the same. The only thing these priests and pastors are quite sure of is that I understand it not. I will be happy to speak at any church at any time for no money in an open forum to discuss these matters. Not as a challenge, but as a learning experience for both me and those who disagree with me. There is nothing to be afraid of when reading this page on religion. Unless you are afraid of the truth. We do not wrestle with arguments "outside" the Bible to make our point, but rather, we meet them on their own turf - The Bible. Anyone who will take the time to bookmark this page and make several references to it, anyone who will take the time to study their own Bibles, can come to no other conclusion but that they are not anymore the word of God than a comic book. The Bible is the cruelest book ever written. It claims that God commanded that innocent babies be killed. This is cause for serious concern! What did the baby do wrong? Smile? Cry? We'll cite many examples of the horrendous cruelties man has inflicted upon man and upon children by following in the footsteps of the writers of this book. If you don't believe that God killed innocent babies, has it not ever occured to you that, according to the Bible, God made provisions for every living thing on Noah's ark.
Except innocent babies? Although preachers do not anymore speak Latin than I do, they are taught several Latin words which they occasionally throw in to slightly "bring out the true meaning" of a Bible verse (which usually means they are altering it to make it more palatable) or, put more simply, to create the illusion that they are well educated. Check out the Latin translation of the Bible for yourself here. What a slap in God's face! What an obvious excercise in the self-serving. By "giving you their own insight" into the "true" meaning of a verse, they are saying that God is incapable of translating his own so-called "autobiography" without their help!!! God's true laws such as the speed of light and the effects of gravity never change nor do they require a Latin translation to understand. They are as constant and never-changing as God Himself. Many pastors are convinced that theirs is the only "true way" and thus, attempt to convince their "flock" that his is the only correct interpretation of the Bible and that all others are wrong. What about "Miracles?" Every religion claims them. If you are a Christian and you really want to open your mind to the reality of other religions and their so-called "miracles," you should read about Mohammed's teachings which even modern day scientists are at a loss to explain! Click here for Muslim "Miracles." If "all things are possible through God," it would be possible that God could have mainfested Himself through Mohammed to people of Arab ancestry. The fact is, God doesn't need any man to reveal himself. This includes Mohammed, Jesus, or your local minister. Miracles, of necessity, must step outside of God's laws. If they are outside of what God created, from where do they come? Ben Franklin saw lightning, few a kite in the middle of the storm to try to understand "WHY" and the benefits to mankind's existence have been numerous. For the Christian, the rainbow represents God's promise not to flood the earth again. To them, that is the "cause" of the rainbow. For the Christian, there is no further inquiry into the "cause" of the rainbow. Isn't it ironic that churches cannot pray away lightning, thus they find it necessary to purchase lightning rods? Ben Franklin on Christianity:"I wish it (Christianity) were more productive of good works ... I mean real good works ... not holy-day keeping, sermon-hearing ... or making long prayers, filled with flatteries and compliments despised by wise men, and much less capable of pleasing the Deity." Click here for more on Ben Franklin. In other words, some people are content to witness what appears out of what their own knowledge of what they call the "ordinary," place that information inside a mental closet, and label that door "God." Other people see the same thing and store that information in their closet but label that door "I Don't Know but I Will Try to Find Out."This is called Science. All time spent on "worshipping" a man in any form is only time wasted. Learning is called progress, a thing the Christian Church has almost always opposed. Christians fought against the anti-slavery movement. Why? Because the Bible promotes slavery- from the Old to the New Testament. REFERENCE BIBLE VERSES HERE. Click here for the "Bibles" of not only Christianity, but other religions as well. Why Christians fought FOR slavery using the Bible as a "justification!!!" (They are doing the same thing today against gays).
Biblical Reasons
Abraham, the "the father of faith,' and all the patriarchs held slaves without God's disapproval (Gen. 21:9-10).
Canaan, Ham's son, was made a slave to his brothers (Gen. 9:24-27).
The Ten Commandments mention slavery twice, showing God's implicit acceptance of it (Ex. 20:10, 17).
Slavery was widespread throughout the Roman world, and yet Jesus never spoke against it.
The apostle Paul specifically commanded slave to obey their masters (Eph. 6:5-8).
Paul returned a runaway slave, Philemon, to his master (Philem. 12).
"Charitable" and evangelistic reasons
Slavery removes people from a culture that "worshipped the devil, practiced witchcraft, and sorcery" and other evils.
Slavery brings heathens to a Christian land where they can hear the gospel. Christian masters provide religious instruction for their slaves.
Under slavery, people are treated with kindness, as many northern visiters can attest.
It is in slaveholders' own interest to treat their slaves well.
Slaves are treated more benevolently than are workers in oppressive northern factories.
Social Reasons
Just as women are called to play a subordinate role (Eph. 5:22; 1 Tim.2:11-15), so slaves are stationed by God in their place.
Slavery is God's means of protesting and providing for an inferior race (suffering the "curse of Ham" in Gen. 9:25 or even the punishment of Cain in Gen. 4:12).
Abolition would lead to slave uprisings, bloodshed, and anarcy. Consider the mob's "rule of terror" during the French Revolution.
Political Reasons
Christians are to obey civil authorities, and those authorities permit and protect slavery.
The church should concentrate on spirtual matters, not political ones.
Those who support abolition are, in James H. Thornwell's words, "atheists, socialists, communists [and] red republicans."
Christians are opposed to a person's right to die. They wish to make their view the only view. This violates the separation of church and state. They fail to realize that often, prolonging LIFE is only prolonging DEATH. In the same way and along the same line, Christians were against the use of anesthetics!!!"In all of its fight against the advancement of medical science, the Church was most obstructionist in the field of pain relief and anesthesia. It seems to be a dogma of the Church that people are supposed to suffer because of original sin and God telling Eve in the bible story that she would bring forth her children in sorrow. Ap parently Christ on the cross chose not to atone for humankind's original sin.
As far back as 500 B.C. in the time of Hippocrates, opium and hyoscyamus (an extract of mandrake root) were used to relieve pain. While these drugs do not produce anesthesia, they are effective sedatives and are used today in conjunction with anesthetics.
It is recorded in the history of Scotland that in the year of 1591 a lady of rank by the name of Eufame Macalyane was burned alive on the castle hill of Edinburgh. She was burned alive because while giving birth to her twin sons she asked the midwife, whose name was Agnes Sampson, to give her something for pain. Now, Agnes Sampson, out of Christian love for this suffering woman, must have reported the incident to the church authorities. There was strong Christian opposition to the use of anesthesia up to the middle of the 19th century. It was Dr. Simpson himself who started the wall to crumble when he went to the bible and reminded the Christians that God had put Adam into a deep sleep before removing that famous rib.
Resistance to anesthesia weakened rapidly after 1853 when Queen Victoria demanded chloroform during the birth of her 8th child. It was about this time that a very charismatic clergyman by the name of Thomas Chalmers began preaching in favor of the use of anesthesia in the practice of medicine--and the sheep followed the shepherd.
An article in the November 10th, 1997 issue of U.S. News and World Report stated that as late as the 1970s some doctors and midwives' organizations maintained that the pain in childbirth is a wonderful experience for women.
The Alabama Freethought Association is located near Talledega, Alabama, on the property of Lake Hypatia, which is named for the woman scientist executed by the Church early in the fifth century."
They are still, as a whole, attempting to "decide by vote" if being homosexual is going to doom a person to an eternity in hellfire. What could be more preposterous? The Church maintained that catastrophes such as earthquakes, violent storms, volcanic eruptions, droughts, famines and plagues were caused by God to punish man for his sins or for the sins of his ancestors. Catastrophes are certainly evil things as far as humankind is concerned. It is worth noting in the 45th chapter of Isaiah, verse 7, God says, "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things." Click here for more Christian opposition to progress. As you will see, Christians persecuted Galileo because his opinion that the earth was not the center of our galaxy got him arrested. "If we are not to suffer like Christ suffered for us, we are mocking our very Lord and Savior," was their battle cry.WANT PROOF?Today, in the year 2,000, the Roman Catholic Church is formally against birth control. Period. They even have their own Bible. Click here to check it out. Click her to read for yourself the "official" wording of the Catholic Church against birth control. If this doesn't tell you what you need to know regarding just how the Church impedes the progress of man, I don't know what does. Especially considering the fact that most Catholics, while claiming loyalty to the Pope, quietly disregard his stance regarding women becoming nothing more than baby making machines. Click here to find out for yourself that these morons even believe that the Pope is infallible!!! Give me a break! This kind of warped logic is completely out of the realm of sanity. Some things appear to us to be beyond God's fixed laws. That is merely because we do not yet understand them. Follow a "healed" person into their future. Have you ever noticed that you never hear of their condition 6 months or a year later? Just their "healing." But, what if they ARE well in five years? Ten? Twenty? To label it "miraculous" is to circumvent any further inquiry into the matter. If a person has been ill and suddenly shows dramatic changes, let's find out what their blood contents were before the "healing" and after the "healing." Perhaps it was a release of the body's own chemicals released during an intense prayer. Or a change in one's frame of mind, thus altering the body chemistry due to a dream. If scientists could discover the true chemical changes that may have occurred in the person, others might benefit. It's called progress. Something the Christian church has always and without exception been opposed to. In spite of the opposition of the Church, it was proved that epidemics of typhus, cholera and Black Death were caused by ticks, lice, fleas, roaches and rats. And it was also proved that malaria and yellow fever were caused by mosquitos. Furthermore, it was learned that humans transmit to other humans such diseases as typhoid, TBC, smallpox and venereal diseases.
During the Middle Ages the Church fostered the belief that filthiness was next to godliness: that bathing was the sin of pride and that it tended to wash away the effects of baptism. The less exposed to water, the more holy one remained. Nuns bragged of only getting the tips of their fingers wet. I doubt that anyone has ever died just from the lack of bathing, but the lack of sanitation has contributed to the deaths of millions and will continue to do so in the future.
How ludicrous can it be for ministers and congregations to "vote" on whether or not homosexuals are to be allowed to live their lives in peace without being stigmatized as "abnormal" or "outside of God's will?" "The Church opposed surgery, claiming the blood contained the spirit of the soul and should not be spilled. The Church opposed dissection of cadavers, claiming the bodies contained a mysterious bone which was necessary for resurrection." It is no doubt comforting and thought-provoking to believe a healing was, indeed, a miracle granted through God because of prayer. DOES PRAYER WORK? Can you imagine how many young women have prayed that God would intervene before they were raped? "It just wasn't God's will" or "it's beyond our understanding" are the cruelest words ever imposed upon the mind of man. That is to say that it was God's will that a young woman be raped!!! Mankind's forward progress, not to mention love toward his fellow man, will be restrained until men take the time to realize for themselves that all of the world's Christians and Muslims and Hindus and New Agers --- Baptists and Catholics and Pentacostals and Orthodox Jews alike --- including the "infallible" Pope himself --- all praying in unison to God or Allah or a crystal ball cannot so much as manage to pray the flies off the baked goods at a Sunday School picnic. So, once again, I ask Christians to no longer allow their thinking process to end at the word "God," but to use the mind our Creator gave them to find out WHY. Or, in the words of Thomas Paine: "Mankind have conceived to themselves certain laws by which what they call nature is supposed to act; and that a miracle is something contrary to the operation and effect of those laws; but unless we know the whole extent of those laws, and of what are commonly called the powers of nature, we are not able to judge whether anything that may appear to us wonderful or miraculous be within, or be beyond, or be contrary to, her natural power of acting." Thomas Paine As you get deeper and deeper into the "why" of something, you get closer and closer to the true GOD!
DIVISIONS WITHIN
PROTESTANT CHRISTIANITY
Divisions are so extreme within Christianity that sincerely and devoutly held beliefs by religious liberals may well be considered blasphemy by conservatives, and vice-versa. "...research shows that the population at-large rejects many beliefs that are embraced by evangelical Christians. For instance, most Americans do not believe in salvation by grace, alone; that the Bible is totally accurate in all that it teaches; that they have a personal responsibility for evangelism; that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life; or that Satan is a real being who can influence people’s lives." Of course, the opposite is true: most Evangelical Christians do not accept the beliefs of mainline and liberal Christian churches. In fact, many conservative Christians do not regard mainline and liberal churches to be part of Christianity. BURN WITCHES...AND CATS...IT'S BIBLICAL:"Sometimes these same catastrophes were considered to be caused by the devil either directly or through men, women and children who were labeled witches. These so-called witches were tortured and burned at the stake because in the bible, Exodus 22:18 says, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Over a period of 1,600 years, thousands of people, including Jews, were slaughtered because of this insanity.
In the south of Germany these trials and executions were being directed by Pope Innocent VIII, while in the north the Protestants were conducting the same manner of slaughter. Just think how lucky we have been: there hasn't been a burning at the stake in our country in over 200 years! But who knows what the future has in store for us.
The Dark Ages were not a good time for cats, either. The theologians of the time associated cats with witches and the devil. The devil, witches and cats--I believe that constitutes a trinity. From time to time the Church would stop the killing of cats when it recognized that a high population of cats was associated with a lower mortality in the Black Death epidemics.
But then there's the Roman Catholic church's unique beliefs about Purgatory, salvation, and the Virgin Mary. Another is the belief by Pentecostals that religious conversion, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, leads to the believer speaking "in tongues."
"Evangelicals and non-evangelicals hold sharply contrasting images of God. The former are far more likely than the latter to picture God as Father than as Mother, Master than Spouse, Judge than Lover, Creator than Healer, and Redeemer than Liberator."
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE HAS TO APOLOGIZE FOR? Then why do Christians offer up book after book after book on "Apologetics?" Click here to read Christian "explanations" or "apologetics" regarding the contradictions and "difficulties" of the Bible. The answers are absolutely amazing!!!! Read them for yourself.
Thus, if you are a Southern Baptist, you will be taught to believe that it is your way or the highway. CLICK HERE FOR UP-TO-THE-MINUTE PROOF!!! As a member of a Baptist "flock" you will be told that not only are other world religions somehow "inspired by Satan," but you may be led to believe that, even among CHRISTIAN denominations, yours is the only one going to heaven. You WILL be told that all the rest of humanity is unfortunately doomed to an eternal hellfire in a fiery pit overseen by a creature named Satan who, disguised as a snake, outsmarted God in the very beginning, thus forcing God to humiliate himself by coming to earth with the sole purpose of sacrificing himself. And all of this, because Eve ate an apple.Doesn't it strike you as odd that the gods of each of the world's religions just happen to be of the same race as the authors of that religion? Why I am against organized religion? In the first place, belief in any religion demands that the believer throws back into God's face the most precious gift He gave to Man - the gift of reason. Not only does the Church require that you abandon your ability to reason, they put you under house arrest if you refuse. Click here to discover what the Church did to the father of modern astronomy - Galileo. Religion does not unite. It divides. Just take one look at what's going on in the Middle East. Two groups of people have so much hatred in their hearts for the other due to their differing religious beliefs and their so-called "sacred" sites that they kill those other people. This is nuts! FROM THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS-10/26/00"Politics in the Middle East is driven by religion," said Osama Abdallah, a Palestinian who is the chairman of the board of the Islamic Association of North Texas. "The Jews are saying, 'This is our Holy Land; God promised it to us.' Muslims are saying, 'This is Haram al-Sharif; this is our holy site.' This is the issue that will make or break [the negotiation]."More from that same article from the DALLAS MORNING NEWS:"The art, all these years, was to make sure it remained an Arab-Israeli conflict rather than a Muslim-Jewish conflict," he said. "If it becomes a religious conflict, it becomes a conflict of absolutes."
If religious opposition to negotiation carries the day, some experts say, that means more violence and a greater risk of a larger war that could pull in the United States, affect oil prices or simply make the world a more dangerous place.
The tight bond between faith and public policy was illustrated in recent news reports:
In Jerusalem, Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon told an international gathering of some 4,000 evangelical Christians that "the land of Israel is holy to Jews, Christians and Muslims, but it was promised by God only to the Jews."
This is no different than the infamous Crusades. And what are these so-called holy sites? "Time" Magazine refers to it as the bloody mountain. It is sacred to both Jews and Muslins. It's a 35-acre complex at the heart of old Jerusalem which has been a roadblock to peace and a flash point for violence. It is called the "Temple Mount/Haram Al-Sharif" which was allegedly built about 960 B.C. by King Solomon (according to the Jews). But the Muslims think it's the "Dome of the Rock" - a Muslim shrine over the rock on which Abraham
allegedly almost sacrificed Isaac and from which Muhammad ascended to heaven. Another "sacred" area within this 35 acres is the "Al-Aqsa Mosque" which has been rebuilt many times. Muslims say that on arriving from Mecca during his Night Journey, Muhammad tethered his winged horse here. Are these people out of their frickin' minds or what? A "winged horse?"
It's almost as bad as the Bible's "talking ass" in Numbers 22. This is not difficult stuff here, friends. Horses do not fly and asses don't talk. Try to grasp it.What difference does it make to me? And what difference should it make to you? I have a 17 year old son who might be called on to "serve his country" if the warring between these two groups of morons gets any more out of hand. Can you imagine allowing your son to die because one group of people don't have the brains to figure out that horses don't fly. Can you imagine your son's life being wasted on a battlefield because some people actually believe a young girl got pregnant and apparently claimed she was impregnated by a "holy ghost?"
GHOSTS don't make people pregnant!!! Try to grasp that. There are no such thing as winged horses. Deal with it. Mary is dead. Live with it. Donkeys don't talk. Get over that. I also have a son-in-law who is 28 who could be called upon by his country to defend Israel. He is a Christian. The Orthodox Jewish religion does not recognize Jesus as being anything close to the Son of God. My thinking is, if the people over there are actually dumb enough to kill each other over who gets to stand in what "holy" spot and when....then let 'em at it. Interfering with them would be like trying to make sense to a drunk...for they are drunk on their own beliefs they have come to call "religion."
The Crusades from one perspective. It is no different than Catholics and Protestants killing each other over the differences contained within their beliefs. Killing your brother because he does not agree with you as to what happens to you after you are dead is utter and complete insanity...that insanity being in direct proportion to that amount of reason the believer has forsaken in order to believe in the utterly insane "facts" contained within their religion in the first place. Read on. And bring your reason along with you. "...The Church has set up a system of religion very contradictory to the character of the person whose name it bears. It has set up a religion of pomp and of revenue, in pretended imitation of a person whose life was humilty and poverty."
Thomas PaineDo you realize that men VOTED to "decide" who Jesus really was?
Amongst this diversity of patristic thought the Fathers were united on a number of doctrines without much controversy or discussion. Some of these doctrines include: 1) the existence of One God, 2) sotierology and sacraments, 3) ecclesiastical authority, 4) the existence of heaven and hell, 5)the existence of an invisible world consisting of angels and demons, 6) regenerative water baptism, and 7) the real presence in the Eucharist. However, many of the doctrines of today such as the Holy Trinity were a result of many years of reflection, dialogue and debate. In fact, prior to formal definition many of the Fathers would seem to have downplayed various aspects of the Trinity or even contradicted the defined doctrine. Prior to definition, doctrinal confusion is expected as the Fathers are grappling with the mysteries of the faith in an attempt to puzzle out the doctrines of the Church. The process between doctrinal chaos to doctrinal clarity is called the development of doctrine. By the end of the patristic age a broad and deep witness was arrived at on most of the cardinal doctrines of the Catholic faith. These include the Blessed Trinity, the nature of Christ, the canon of Scriptures, justification and grace, infallibility of the Church, and doctrines concerning Theotokos, just to name a few.
Two men, believing in their Allah, blew themselves into eternity while destroying this ship and many innocent victims who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. All in the name of religion. How can this make sense to a sane person? Question: Why are these people fighting? Answer: Religion. If you're a Christian you believe: After an insurrection in heaven in which Satan and his followers were cast out (but could not be killed or wounded) --- God put Satan in the pit --- let him out again --- and gave him a triumph over the whole creation? Then you believe that all of mankind was damned by God by the eating of an apple? How could the early mythologists justify such an absurdity? The only way to perpetuate an absurdity is to become more absurd. God comes to the rescue in the form of a man. Christians would now expect a rational person to believe, under penalty of eternal hell, that this very virtuous and amiable man, Jesus Christ, to be at once both God and Man, and also be the Son of God, celestially begotten, on purpose to be sacrificed, because they say that Eve in her longing had eaten an apple. Putting aside everything that might excite laughter by its absurdity, or detestation by its profaneness, and confining ourselves merely to an examimation of the parts, it is impossible to conceive of a story more derogatory to the Almighty, more inconsistent with His wisdom, more contradictory to His power, than this story. In order for the above scenerio to "work" Christians are of the necessity of giving to the being whom they call Satan, a power equally as great, if not greater than they attribute to the Almighty. If they do NOT give Satan this incredible power, how could they blame him for things like hurricanes, car wrecks, tornados, earthquakes, war, famine, and a million other things? If you say that "God only allowed Satan to do it" is to say that God is as big as asshole as Satan is. If you don't believe me, ask those who've lost loved ones during such trajedies. Yet these same people believe that, through God, one man - Moses - parted the waters. Yet, a million Christians all praying at once could not slow down a tornado. Even if they included Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell in that group. Ten million Christians all praying at once, can't even pray away a fly off the baked goods at a Sunday School picnic.
Since God is love, God would never wish a hurricane upon us, would He? Or an earthquake. Or a colission with a comet. Thus, when one witnesses one of those earthly horrors, Satan once again must have outsmarted God; he got his way once again like he did when god found it necessary to display himself on a cross to be capable of allowing himself to forgive his own creation for eating an apple. They have not only given Satan the power of liberating himself from the pit, after what they call his fall, they have made that power increase afterward to
