Who: Girls ages 9 -13 years old who have not turned
14 before Sept. 1st, 2008.
Teams: AAU Age levels- U10, U11, U12,
U13 and U14
Season: Sunday January 18th - Sunday March 22nd,
2009.
Registration: Begins Monday October 20th at the Front
Desk of the Bob Sierra YMCA and ends January 1st, 2009. There will
be no tryouts required, simply sign up. The players will be placed
on teams based on their age and skill level. **
When signing up a player PLEASE note if you would be interested in
helping to coach your child's team.***
Coaches: One or Two Accredited Volleyball Coaches
will oversee the Club Storm AAU Program. Each team will have one or
two volunteer parent coaches as well as a high-school "player-coach"
from Club Storm.Teams will be comprised of no more than 10 players
per team.
Practices: Every Sunday for two hours. Actual times
TBA once teams and coaches are established.
Tournaments: Each team will play in three local
AAU Volleyball Tournaments on a Saturday or Sunday. To help fulfill
our Club Storm Fund Raising Goals, one of these tournaments will be
hosted by our Club at the Bob Sierra YMCA. Details TBA.
Cost:
Club Storm AAU Team Fees: $300.00- (may be paid up to three installments)
AAU Membership fee- $12.00. Individual player must pay online at http://aausports.org/sprt_volleyball.asp
YMCA Facility Membership
Club Storm will provide: Coaches' compensation, tournament
entry fees, Club Storm jersey, Club Storm practice t-shirt, and a
Club Storm backpack.
