Coach Bios

Dave Wolcott was born in Kalamazoo, MI before moving to Tampa many, many years ago. For over 30 years now Dave has been well-known around the volleyball community. He began playing competitively in college at John Brown University. He then competed at the USVBA level for many years. Though he still loves to play when he gets the chance, he has fallen in love with coaching as his three children began to play. He ran the volleyball program at Berean Academy the last few years before becoming involved with Cambridge Christian School this year. Dave is going into his fourth year with Club Storm, coaching the 15’s, 16’s and 17’s teams. Dave is also one of the Directors for Club Storm. He is a USAV- CAP Level I Certified Coach and is presently working towards his CAP II Certification. He is also an active member with the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Dave has been married to Ruth for 20 wonderful years and he has 3 kids- Katelyn, Kristin and Joshua.
Coach John Babbitt was born and raised in Lutz, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2001 with a degree in Anthropology. He began coaching for Club Storm in 2001. He has been coaching high school since 2002. He started as the JV Head Coach Sickles High School for 3 years; last season he was the Wharton High School Head Coach where he was voted Coach of the Year for their division. He is currently the Head Coach and Program Director for Carrollwood Day School.
Scott Tilley has been playing and coaching volleyball since 1987.He was born in Ticonderoga NY but grew up and went to highschool in Queensbury NY. While attending QHS he lettered in football,baseball, and bowling. He went on from there to Castleton State College in Vermont where he graduated in 1986 with a BS in Phys Ed/Recreation.In 1987 he became the assistant coach at Adirondack Community College in women's softball.He coached at ACC from 1987 to 2004 as the assistant coach in 3 sports starting in softball but also coached women's soccer and volleyball. He moved to Tampa in the fall of 2005 where he joined Club Storm and was assistant coach helping Todd Joseph with the U-18's and then U-16's. He was also assistant JV and assistant Varsity coach at Wharton with coach Todd and coach John for 1 year[District finals]. Scott played club volleyball as a member of Adirondack VBC and Club Gang Green in the IREVA region.As a member of Adirondack VBC his team placed 2nd at regionals once and along with 3 other members of AVBC he won the Men's open 4's div. at the Lake George NY Million Dollar Beach Tourney once.Scott also played semi-pro baseball in Glens Falls NY for the Glens Falls Colonels and club soccer for 7 years.

Vicky Page was born in St. Louis where she played volleyball all through high school before attending the University of Kansas. She played at the USVBA Level with her identical twin sister for many years. Vicky majored in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology before she began a 15 year career in Pharmaceutical Sales. She then began her “new” life coaching volleyball where she is now in her 8th year coaching her 12th team. She moved from Hopkinton, MA four years ago. Vicky coached 1 year at Farnell Middle School, 4 years at Sickles High School and she is in her 4th year at Club Storm where she has been a head coach for the 13’s and 14’s teams. Vicky is also one of the Directors of Club Storm. She created the popular Summer “Volleyball Skills Academy” and she runs the Summer YMCA Volleyball Camp each year. Vicky is a USAV-CAP Level I Certified Coach and has been CAP Level II trained, with her certification to be completed soon. She is also a member in good standing with the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Vicky has been married to David for 23 years. She has 3 children- Corey who is a freshmen in college, Connor who is at Sickles High School and daughter Baylee at Mary Bryant Elementary.

Cat Bair was born in Trinidad and Tobago. She moved to Tampa 23 years ago and has lived here ever since. She played volleyball at Gaither High School and got a degree in Education at U.S.F. An avid beach and grass volleyball player, she also plays indoors as well. Cat has coached for Club Storm for five years and at Sickles High School as the JV Coach for two years. She is married to Brian and they are the proud parents of new baby Landen.
Lucy Lombardi was born in Portland, Oregon where she began playing volleyball in High School. She was a 4-year member of the varsity team. She was voted captain for her Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. Lucy also played Club volleyball and was voted to the All-State High School team in 1989. She planned to continue playing on her college team however a serious ankle injury prevented her from playing competitively. Lucy graduated from Portland State University and continued on as an assistant varsity coach at her local high school. She is an avid beach volleyball player and is currently competing in Women’s Doubles on the beach volleyball circuit. She was the U12 coach for Club Storm last season. Lucy is married to Roman- who also plays competitive beach volleyball- and has two daughters: Ava, a student at Espirit de Santos, and Marcella.
Brian Bair has played beach volleyball for many years. He has been an assistant coach for Club Storm for 3 years, working with players age U14, u15 and U16. He was also an assistant coach at Sickles High School for 2 years.
Katy Roadman comes from a volleyball family. Two of her sisters play currently, one having played for Clearwater Christian College. Two of her sisters have been All-Americans. Coach Roadman played volleyball in high school and then had severe knee surgery during her senior year. She was able to continue with volleyball by becoming a coach. She has been coaching for 3 years. Her first position was with Temple Christian School, an A1 school in Titusville, FL. Her team was excellent and she enjoyed coaching there. Her teams attended Regionals every year, but never managed to make it to States. While coaching at Temple, she met many coaches and was asked to coach club volleyball herself. She took a position with Ignite Volleyball Club in Merritt Island, FL and coached their 18-1 team. Since then, she has moved to Tampa and found a coaching job at Wharton High School as the JV coach.Coach Roadman believes that volleyball is the greatest sport and she loves to inspire girls to succeed.
Nicko Roussos was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas where he grew up playing volleyball. His high school won the State Championships where he was awarded the “Most Valuable Player of the Year”. He also won the prestigious “Comet of the Year” Award. Nicko played on the Junior National Volleyball Team of the Bahamas as well. Their team won the Silver Medal at the Caribbean Volleyball Championships. (CVC) Nicko will enter his third year as a coach for Club Storm.
Todd Joseph has been playing and coaching volleyball since 1992. Todd was an assistant women's volleyball coach at Adirondack Community College in N.Y. under Xiao Li from 2002-2006. Todd was the assistant varsity coach at Sickles for 2 seasons (District finals both years) and Head JV coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Wharton for 1 season (District finals). Todd has been affiliated with Club Storm since 2004 where has been a Head Coach for 15U, 16U, and 18U teams. He played his college ball on the Men's NCAA varsity volleyball team at SUNY New Paltz where he was a setter/L/OH. Todd also plays competitive outdoor volleyball as much as possible. His achievements include being past winner of both the CDGD and GMVB Men's Open King of the Hill tournaments as well as the Arkansas State Outdoor Volleyball Championships (2008). He is also the Director of Education and Tournament Director for Sweet Sets Volleyball. Todd is both CAP and IMPACT certified. Outside of volleyball, he is finishing his PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at USF.

Ryan Swanson grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL before moving to Tampa. He was a Middle Hitter in high school where he was awarded 2nd Team All County. He now plays Middle Blocker at U.S.F. where he is a Graduate Student majoring in Architecture. Ryan began his coaching career last year where he was a popular assistant coach for the Club Storm 16-Silver team. Ryan still calls Ft. Lauderdale home where he lives with his parents and two younger brothers.
Sam Laughlin grew up overseas in Saudi Arabia before moving to California where he grew up playing volleyball. He went to one year of college in Philadelphia before transferring to U.S.F. where is he is now a Junior. He excelled in volleyball and he always made the highest varsity team since 5th grade. He was awarded the “Most Valuable Player” Award his Senior year of high school. Sam played for the Drexel Beach Club and plays beach volleyball when he can. Houston, TX is home for Sam when he is not at school. This is his first year of coaching volleyball.
Laura Stegenga grew up in Venice, FL where she began playing volleyball in middle school. She made the varsity volleyball her freshmen year and she Lettered all 4 years where she was Captain her Senior year. She went on to play two years at Manatee Community College as an outside and middle hitter. She was Captain her sophomore year. She most recently is playing in doubles in area beach volleyball tournaments. Laura has coached for the Manatee Area Volleyball Club (M.A.V.) for two years as their U14 coach. Laura moved up to Tampa to attend USF this fall.
Jocelyn Geraldson grew up in Bradenton, FL and has volleyball in her blood- literally. Her father is a long-time volleyball coach in the area so she and her brother and sisters grew up on the court. She made the Varsity volleyball team for all four years and was voted Captain of her team two of those four years. Jocelyn played two years at Manatee Community College as well as playing in doubles beach volleyball tournaments with her partner and roommate Laura Stegenga. Jocelyn was voted “Manatee Area Volleyball Player of the Year” for 2003 and 2004. She was voted All-Conference Athlete 2002, 2003, 2004. She was also voted to the All-State High School Volleyball team 2003 and 2004. She was the Bradenton Christian School Jr. High Director and 8th grade head coach last year. Jocelyn was also the Manatee Area Volleyball Club (M.A.V.) head coach for their 16 Travel, 17 Travel and 17 Elite teams.
Kim Bull grew up in Genoa, New York where she began playing volleyball in 7th grade. She played all through high school, 2 years at Junior College and 1 year at S.U.N.Y Cortland as a Setter. Kim played USVBA Volleyball (now USAV) out of Johnson City, NY for several years. She was Captain her Senior year of high school and was voted an “Exceptional Senior” at the Empire State Games. Kim was also Captain for both years at her Junior College. She coached for 4 years at Union Springs Central School in N.Y. for the Middle School, JV and Varsity teams. She coached at Moravia Central School as the Middle School and JV coach for 2 years. Kim then moved on to take the Head Coaching position at Cayuga Community College for 2 years.
Kim lives with her husband Lee- whom she met while they played on the same YMCA volleyball team in N.Y., and her two children Cassidy- 8 years old- and Cayman- 6 years old. Kim is currently the Science Director at Lee Academy for Gifted Education in Tampa.
Clare Odell was born in Tampa where she started playing volleyball in 5th grade. She also played for 3 years at Ben Hill Middle School and then 4 years at Gaither High School. Clare played 7 years of club volleyball- 5 years with Club Storm. She was an assistant coach of the Club Storm U14 team in 2008. Clare currently attends Hillsborough Community College as a Freshmen. She plans to major in Forensic Science.
Deb McClean grew up Delray Beach, FL where she learned how to play beach volleyball. She played 4 years of Varsity High School volleyball. She also played softball in college. She was the assistant coach for the Club Storm U12 team in 2008. Deb lives with husband Tim and daughter Casey who is in 8th grade at Davison Middle School.
Evelyn Compton has been involved in volleyball for most of her life. She loves the sport and the role it plays in her life. She graduated from The Cambridge School in Tampa in 2005 as an all-state setter and the recipient of the prestigious Rose Diaz award for Hillsborough County. She is currently a junior at Clearwater Christian College, pursuing a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. She is privileged to play volleyball under the coaching of Dr. Vickie Denny and has been honored to be a part of two National Championship teams in 2006 and 2007. She is a two-time All-American setter and two-time National All-Tournament award recipient. These accomplishments plus her love for the sport has opened the door for her to help run a number of camps, which in turn have provided her with valuable coaching experience. She has had the opportunity to be an assistant coach on a 18-1 club team for Club Ignite based in Merritt Island, FL. She has a passion for the game of volleyball and is looking forward to furthering her coaching career here at Club Storm.
Cat Wood was born and raised in Lutz, Florida where she began playing volleyball in high school. She played for three years at Gaither High School and two years of Club volleyball. Cat was Captain of the Gaither team for two years. She coached for one season at Liberty Middle School and one season at Berean Academy. She has been married for one year and has fun playing with her three dogs.
Alex Farmer grew up in Ft. Meyers, FL where she was captain of her volleyball team at Evangelical Christian High School and received numerous awards. She won a best offense award twice, MVP once and Best Defense once. She was also named an all conference player of the week. She played for the USA South Volleyball Club before she entered college at St. Leo University . Alex was nominated as an “Athletic Scholar” for excelling academically and athletically during her senior year, she also won a Best Defense Award for her blocking. She has coached at the former Sandspurs Volleyball Club as well as at numerous summer camps at Eckerd College and in Ft. Myers. She is also a regular on the Beach Volleyball Tournament Circuit. Alex majored in Communication Management and now works for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as an event coordinator. She coordinates Marathons, Triathlons and Century Bike rides. Her sister also played volleyball in college, her parents live in Hendersonville, NC
Lindsay Guidish grew up in St. Charles, IL where she played all four years as an outside hitter for St. Charles High School. Her Junior year she led her team to the "Elite Eight" in the Illinois State Tournament. She was also voted M.V.P. for the '98-99 season, her Junior year, and was Team Captain for the '99-00 season, her Senior year, when she also won the "Sportsmanship Award". Lindsay was voted "All Conference" for both her Junior and Senior year. She played club volleyball in Chicago for the "Sports Performance Volleyball Club" for one year and the "POV Volleyball Club" for three years. Lindsay moved to Tampa in 2000 and played for the University of South Florida as a Defensive Specialist. She has coached for St. Charles High School summer camps and club teams.Lindsay's sister played volleyball for the University of Houston and has been coaching for 12 years for Texas Elite Volleyball Club. Her other sister played golf at Stetson University and her parents now reside in Naples.Lindsay currently works as a mortgage broker for 1st Continental Mortgage Company.This will be Lindsay's first year with Club Storm as an Assistant Coach.
Peggy Compton has been playing volleyball since 4th grade. She played 4 years of varsity volleyball in high school as an outside and middle hitter. In high school she was on first team all-conference three consecutive years. She was also chosen to play on the all-star team for herconference her senior year. She played two years of club volleyball for Ignite. Her sister Katy Roadman was her coach for a year in high school as well as club. She is a sophomore at Clearwater Christian College , and has played volleyball under Coach Denny for both years. Her teams have been blessed to win Regionals and then to go on and win Nationals in Omaha , NE these past two years. She received the rookie award her freshman year at Clearwater . Her older sisters Evelyn and Cindy both played at Clearwater Christian College and were all-Americans. Her sister Evelyn has also been on the team with her these past two years at Clearwater and received the all-American award for the third time this year. She has four sisters; all have played and coached volleyball. She helped coach at camps for two years at Clearwater Christian College . She was also assistant coach for the 16 gold team at Club Storm last year, under her sister Katy. She loves to play beach on the weekends with her boyfriend and family.
Christina Franco grew up in Tampa where she started playing volleyball at the Bob Sierra YMCA at a young age. She went on to play volleyball at Gaither High School for four years where she was Captain her Senior year. She also played Club Storm volleyball for three years. Through the years Christina was an integral part of the YMCA volleyball program by teaching many volleyball classes and running many of the YMCA volleyball camps. She is a classic example of a young athlete taking part in all the opportunities that the YMCA has to offer a teenager. Her school and church Volunteer requirements as well as her first job as a Camp Counselor all occurred at the Bob Sierra YMCA. Currently Christina is a sophomore at USF majoring in Audiology and Sign Language.
Tessa O'Brien-Migliore grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where she played volleyball for Our Lady Sacred Heart High School in Coraopolis, PA for three years. She won the Most Improved Player Award her senior year. Her hard work paid off when she made the “All American Team” in their conference her senior year and played on a USA Volleyball Club team. Tessa went on to play volleyball at St. Leo University in Dade City, FL. She went back home to coach her high school Junior varsity team for one season before moving back to Tampa. She also coached volleyball at the New Tampa YMCA. Tessa ended up at USF for two and a half years working as a Law Enforcement Officer. Tessa has been working for six months now as a Special Agent for the state of Florida. She is also a certified “Rape Aggression Defense” (R.A.D.) Instructor. She recently got married to Chris Migliore who is a Law Enforcement Officer for Temple Terrace. This will be Tessa’s first year as a coach for Club Storm.
Kerstin Erickson grew up in St. Charles, IL where she played volleyball at St. Charles East High School and Sports Performance Volleyball Club. She was voted to the “All Conference Team” her Senior year. Kerstin then moved down to Florida to play volleyball at Jacksonville University where she majored in English and earned a minor in Marketing. Kerstin has extensive coaching experience. She has coached with Jacksonville Juniors, Manatee Area Volleyball Club (M.A.V.), Bayshore High School and for the former Sandspurs Volleyball Club. Kerstin has a brother and a sister who are both teachers and her parents still call Chicago their home. Currently, Kerstin is a Technical Writer for TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. in Tampa.
