The following is the scene when Marv Levy gets inducted to the Bills Wall of Fame at Rich Stadium before the 1996 opening game:
In the pregame ceremonies, Marv is introduced to the sellout crowd at Rich Stadium. It is his turn to take his place along side OJ Simpson, Tom Sestak, Jack Kemp, Joe Ferguson and the 12th Man. Marv steps up to the impromptu podium set up at mid field, wipes a tear from his eye, and proclaims to the world, "It is an honor to join these great men who have preceded me on the Wall of Fame! Jack Kemp and Joe Ferguson were two of the greatest quarterbacks of their time. The late Tom Sestak was a rock on the defensive line for the old AFL champion Bills. Then there is OJ!" With that, there is a chorus of boos from the crowd. Marv waives his hand to make a point. "I don't care what the press or the media says about the innocence of OJ in that travesty of a murder case! The Juice was put up on the wall for all the great feats he accomplished on the playing field. Nothing can take away the 2,003 yards he gained during that glorious season in ‘73. I would be honored to be placed up there along side him!"
With that, Marv straps on a rocket backpack, presses a button which ignites the rockets. Marv is lifted up in the air by the force of the propulsion and flies above the stadium for a minute before he jettisons over to the very spot on the wall where the Juice's name is engraved. Next to OJ's name is a mold of a human figure into which Marv steps. He fits perfectly into this indentation. Marv waives to the crowd and a couple cement workers from Local 210 seal Marv into the Wall of Fame leaving only his face open to the outside world. Marv's voice bellows throughout the stadium as he announces, "To be placed alongside OJ Simpson and now Republican VP candidate Jack Kemp is definitely a glorious honor. I requested to be entombed here up on the Wall of Fame so that I will be here for eternity, looking down upon this Field of Dreams. I will continue my coaching duties from right up here where I have a great view of everything that is happening. Also, I'll have complete control of my players and coaching staff. And when I retire, if I ever do, I will still have my eye on whoever is my replacement. He will constantly be looking over his shoulder, hoping to get my approval for every move he makes. Even when I pass away and go to Heaven's great football field, my remains will be inside this tomb ready to haunt any future coach who makes coaching blunders. I must protect my loyal Bills fans who have been so good to me all these years!"
After that, a tear falls from Marv's eye and mixes with the concrete, producing a structural deficiency. After the game, a crack develops from this fault in the concrete and the Bills organization decides to let the crack remain, claiming that the Liberty Bell also has a crack and that made it more famous.
