Wild Bills Prognostications-WEEK11

BILLS 28
JETS 21

PLAY OF THE GAME:

Ray Lucas (no relation to Richie Lucas who was the Bills first ever No. 1 pick), drives the Jets down the field with the score tied 21-21 and only 38 seconds left on the clock. The Jets have to get to the 30 for good field goal position. With a third and ten from the Bills 40, Lucas goes back to pass and throws to Keyshawn Johnson, but as soon as it reaches his hands, Henry Jones tips it out of his hands and the ball is caught in mid-air by Antoine Winfield and he races down the left sidelines untouched for the winning touchdown.

WADE'S WITTICISMS:

Wade comes out for his post-game press conference smiling and sporting a black wig. He comes up to the microphone and starts his speech.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the press. Last week Jimmy Johnson displayed unsportsmanlike behavior in his press conference, talking for only 45 seconds and then telling his players not to say anything about the game. Well, I want you to know that I'm not like that. I will not prevent my players from speaking to you. They are their own servants. As for my wig, it's my anti-JJ statement. He has stylish grey hair, and I wanted to distance myself from him as far as possible, thus the ‘black' wig.

"I do want you to realize just what a great job my men are doing so far this year. After beating the Jets, we now stand at 8-3! This team is just starting to jell. To take something out of Marv's Maxims, I must quote this parable: ‘The Bills have overcome many injuries and obstacles to reach this point. We have overtaken the mighty Dolphin and that gesturing Cox! This season is like a mystical lake. Rippling waves dance to the rhythm of the wind. Gliding, swirling, twirling, the water performs a ballet of transformation. It is a masterpiece of art in constant motion. Liquid crowns form in the lake as dragonflies splash into the mirrored surface. Concentric circles race towards the shore; each circular wave is like a playoff team trying to reach the ultimate goal. May the Bills ride the wave all the way to their first Super Bowl victory!'

"That Maxim was a thing of beauty. It transcended the sports world to touch the very heart of mankind and his relationship with nature. I try to teach my men the same story, but for some reason, I cannot express myself with the same eloquent vernacular as Marv. Such is life! I'm equated more with Hank Hill from 'King of the Hill' than I am with Marv by these players."
