Wild Bills Prognostications-WEEK13

GIANTS 14
BILLS 28

PLAY OF THE GAME:

Thurman Thomas, playing his first game since getting injured on the very first play from scrimmage during the opening game of the season, has a stellar game for the Bills. He runs for 98 yards and catches 6 screen passes for another 44 yards. But the play of the game came in the third quarter and the Bills trailing 17-14. Thomas takes a pitchout and rips around the left side, breaking 3 tackles and then he weaves his way 37 yards for what proves to be the winning touchdown of the game. After the score, Thomas runs over to Antowain Smith and gives him the ball and a pat on the bat, and tells him, "Antowain, just hang in there and you too will be able to power run like me!"

WADE'S WITTICISMS:

Wade walks up to the podium after the game playing a banjo. He puts on a straw hat and plays a little blue grass music, all the while the reporters start doing a line dance.

"Bet you all didn't know I could pick with the best of them," Wade says with a smile. "I do this in my spare time. Been meaning to go on tour with Clint Black, but he says I have to practice up a little before he'll take me."

"Today's game was inspiring to me and my players. To see Thurman go back in there put a little spark in our offense. Doug was saying to me after the game that he felt a lot more relaxed knowing that he could dump off to Thurman if he got into a pickle. Thurman adds that extra dimension that we've been missing. He can run and he can catch. He also has a lot of smarts, more than I'll ever have. So that's why when he suggests something to me I heed his words. Yep, yep, by gosh, by golly. The man is a sage. I may have him join my coaching staff when he retires. He could definitely teach me a thing or two about football. The man also has a heart of gold. Too bad there ain't too many Thurmans on this team. In fact if half the team were Thurmans and the other half Fluties, I'd be in seventh heaven."
