Mystikal
Real Name: Michael Tyler
Nickname(s): Mystikal
Hometown: 12th Ward, New Orleans
He
is
currently 27 years old, father of three children. He went to Cohen High
School, where he was a cheerleader. After he graduated from high
school, he
signed up for the Army. At 19 after he just joined the Army, he was
sent off
to go fight in Operation Desert Storm. While in the Army, Mystikal was
a U.S.
Army combat technician. He was also caught off base at the wrong time
and was
sent straight to military prison. This is how Mystikal got his style
and
name, from the rowdy drill sergeants to yelling on the battlefields.
While
Mystikal was in the corp., he even wrote his first hit, "I'm Not That
Nigga."
After 8 months of active duty in the Gulf War, Mystikal returned to New
Orleans, where he then got into his hip-hop career. He got into a
local group
called the 39 Posse. They had a little studio, so Mystikal hooked up
with
them and started making his demos, using his sister's help. Well,
Mystikal's
sister, Michelle Elizabeth Tyler, was shot and killed by her boyfriend
and
Mystikal's dream of them two becoming famous fell. Mystikal loved his
sister,
and knew he was going to dedicate his life to becoming a big rap star
for his
sister. By '92, Mystikal put out his debut single for "I'm Not That
Nigga,"
which featured his sister singing in the background. Three years
later, he
signed with Big Boy Records and dropped his first EP, self entitled. A
year
later he signed a record deal with Jive and put out his second debut
album,
"Mind of Mystikal." Then in mid-May of '97, Mystikal was working on a
song
for "I'm Bout It" the soundtrack. At first, he was just trying to get
affiliated with the big boys at No Limit, so he did "Whatchu Think?"
After
Master P heard Mystikal's solo hit, he offered Mystikal a record deal
at No
Limit Records. Master P set Mystikal with a song off Mia X's album,
Unladylike, called "Who's Got The Clout?," then on Steady Mobbin's
album with
the song "It's On." After he signed the deal, Mystikal saw KLC working
for No
Limit, who use to run his own independent label and was the first
producer
that Mystikal worked with, back in the day. By mid-October of that
year,
Mystikal dropped his first No Limit release, Unpredictable. Ever since
then,
Mystikal has become one of the backbones of No Limit. He is known for
bringing the noise, and firing up songs to get them rowdy. He is also
now a
part of Master P's group Da 504 Boyz, consisting of Nino Brown AKA
Master P,
G-Money AKA Mystikal himself, and the newest member to the group, Vito
AKA
Silkk The Shocker. Mystikal is currently working on Da 504 Boyz and his
second No Limit debut release, Ghetto Fabulous, which plans to drop
sometime
mid-November of '98.

Silkk The Shocker
Real Name: Zyshonne Miller
Nickname(s): Silkk The Shocker, Mr.
Hometown: 3rd Ward Calliop, New Orleans
He is the youngest brother outof the
Miller family as well as the youngest member of No Limit Records. He is
currently 20 years old. He has the same siblings as Master P has. He grew up
in 3rd ward Calliope Projects in New Orleans. He finished elementary school
in New Orleans, and then moved out to Richmond, CA after his brother Kevin
Miller died. There, Silk went to high school and worked P's record store, No
Limit Records. Silk got his name from his smooth and attractive personality
he had with other people. Everyone used to call him, "Lil' Silk," when he was
growing up. When Master P started rapping, Silk got into rapping. At the age
of 13, Silk had already started appearing on P and other fellow No Limit
rappers' albums. He became part of the group TRU and came out with their
album "True," in '95. After P established No Limit Records, he set up Silk
with his solo debut, "The Shocker." Silk found his niche and changed his name
up by adding a "K," so no one would get confused with the R&B group Silk and
also they claimed the name first. He also added The Shocker to his name,
since he thought it fit well. Silkk appeared on just about every No Limit
album that came out and in early '97, his group TRU released their second
anticipated album, "Tru 2 Da Game." In early February of '98, Silkk came out
with his second solo release, "Charge It 2 Da Game," which gained Silkk his
personal national fame. Silkk, now, is currently working with his new group,
Da 504 Boyz. His third solo album, "Made Man" is set to be out sometime in
'99. You can catch Silkk the Shocker on various No Limit Soldiers'albums,
and, now, famous rapstars' albums like Celly Cel and Mya.Check out hisvideo.
