The Quest For Zapdos, chapter 2

Team Ash and Team Rocket

We last left everyone eating breakfast.

"Narrator person?"

Yes, Ash?

"We're out of food."

Tough.

"Am I allowed to tell them now?"

"Tell us what?"

Go read the last chapter.

"Okay." Ash reads the first chapter while everyone sits down and has a staring contest.

Everyone is still staring.

Still staring.

*Still* staring.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

And James bursts out laughing. Everyone else is still staring.

"Does any of yours eyes hurt yet?"

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Pika."

Did I forget something in the last chapter? It seems like I forgot something...

"You forgot some kind of Pokémon but I can't remember what."

Oh yeah! I remember! You just reminded me in more ways than one, Misty.

"I did?" Everyone is still staring at each other, minus James, who is trying to control himself.

Yeah! I forgot all about Togepi!

"TOGEPI!!!!!" And Misty starts crying her heart out. Which means she lost the staring contest.

"I DON'T CARE! JUST BRING ME TOGEPI OR I'LL MAKE THIS XXX-RATED!"

Togepi suddenly appears in Misty's arms.

"Toge briii!"

"Yay!"

Ash comes back now knowing what Jessie was talking about. "Hey everyone! I'm back!"

This makes Jessie, Brock, Meowth, and Pikachu blink at the same time.

"Ash! You made me lose!"

No. That would be considered a four-way tie.

"I don't like that either."

"*Now* can I tell?"

I suppose.

"Good. It's kinda strange, but it's true."

"Just get on with it. I want to go get Zapdos."

"Shut up! Now, way back however long ago it was when we first met you in the Viridian City Pokémon Center... James, would you quit laughing!"

"Sorry... I can't stop..."

"Just get on with it! I'm in a hurry!"

"You didn't seem to be in a hurry earlier."

"Well... now I am. So finish it."

"Anyway, before I was *interupted,*" she shoots a death glare at James, "I was saying that when we first met you in the Viridian City Pokémon Center, we saw your Pikachu and-"

"You wanted to steal it. We *know* that."

"No! We thought it was too cute to steal. Well, me and James. Meowth *did* want to steal Pikachu-"

"But dey made me think differently about dat."

"It took a while but we did convince him it was too cute to steal. And so we've just been acting like we do want to steal it... just in case the boss found out... if he did... we'd probably get fired or they'd do something horrible to us..."

"He's scary..." James has gotten over his laughing fit.

"You mean... every time except for a few... you didn't really want to steal Pikachu?"

"Right."

Misty states "But then what about the show they made of us? That looks like you *really* want to steal Pikachu there. I mean in places we normally don't see of you.

"That's just because the animators thought it would be better if they made us more evil than we really are!" James' laughing fit has been gone but now he's in a crying fit.

Ash manages to say, "But... then... I'VE GOT WRINKLES FROM WORRYING SO MUCH! AND ALL THIS TIME YOU NEVER WANTED TO STEAL PIKACHU!?"

Everyone just stares at Ash. James doesn't laugh, cry, etc.

Brock says, "Ummm... you don't have any wrinkles, Ash."

"That's beside the point!"

"Well now dat we told ya, we wanna help. But if anyone comes along we gotta make it look like we're tryin to steal yer Pokémon."

"Yeah! This'll be great!"

You sure about that Misty? Remember, *I'm* the narrator.

"I forgot all about you..."

You forgot about me?!

A sudden downpour starts. But it's only on top of Misty.

"Hey!"

Don't forget about me. You have been warned.

Jessie ignores this. "So, *do* you want us to help?"

"You guys must be better trainers than you make it seem... I don't mind."

"Even if you guys did make me worry so much... yeah. With more help it'll be easier. What about you, Misty?"

Misty is still in the downpour.

"I'm not going anywhere until she stops this rain."

Fine.

The rain stops and Misty is soaking wet. Togepi was trying to sleep off to the side of camp so it didn't get wet.

"I hate you."

I thought you *liked* water.

"I'M GONNA-"

"SHUT UP! If you two fight one more time, I'm gonna... ummm... I don't know... do something..."

You can only do something to Misty. I don't exist in a solid form here.

Misty goes all big and scary and says "AND WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO TO ME?!"

Ash says meekly "Nothing. Pikachu? Pikachu?"

He looks over and sees Pikachu is having a very good time of being scratched by Jessie.

"I guess Pikachu wants them to come. So in this group, we have me, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, Jessie, James, and Meowth... and the narrator!"

Very good.

Jessie decides to say, "So when are we actually going to go after these birds? We're almost to the end of the second chapter and next to nothing has happened."

I'm working on it.

Brock decides to look at his magical-usually-invisible-clock "It's noon. We did *not* spend five hours doing nothing."

I speeded up time.

"WHAT?! Why! I'm already in a hurry!"

I did it just to make you mad, actually.

"Ha ha! Now she hates you too!"

James then points out "I'm hungry."

"You're always hungry!"

"He's got a good reason dis time. It *is* noon."

"Pika pi chu ka pika!"

Everyone except Meowth stare at Pikachu trying to figure out what he said.

"Pikachu says dat he's hungry too."

"Toge toge!"

"So is Togepi."

Then it's settled! While everyone goes on a lunch break, this chapter can end!

"I guess... but when the next chapter starts, I don't want you hating me!"

I can't promise that...

"Can you promise that the next chapter we'll do something?"

I can promise that!

"Good... well?"

Well what?

"Where's the food?"

You have to make it yourselves this time. Or rather, Brock and James have to make it for you.

"I don't wanna."

Jessie hits him with a fan and says "Just make something!"

And so with Brock and James purposely burning all the food except for theirs (no one knows that yet), this chapter ends somewhat peacefully.

"I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!!!"

"To... ge... BRIIIIIIIIIIII!!!"

Look! You made Togepi cry!

"AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!"

Ummmm... I think this chapter will end right now. Bye everyone!

I kinda forgot Togepi last chapter. Oops. I'm on the verge of whether I like it softboiled and on a plate or in one piece and acting cute. It's the only Pokémon I can succesfully imitate, and I can do a good job of acting cute and annoying in my real life RPG's with my friends. Anyway, go read the next capter and see if they accomplish anything. And don't flame me!
