Finally, it's up! I know there are no chibi marathon runners, but I really didn't feel like putting them in, okay? ^_^;;; Maybe later.

Okay, before we start, let’s get one little thing straight: There are A LOT LOT LOT LOT LOT of spoilers in here for TRY. I mean, but seriously, who seriously thinks they could go to an information page and not find any spoilers! Seriously!

And another thing.. I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen a bunch of Slayers pages out there with incorrect information about Valgarv and Slayers Try. I figure that the people who made these pages are people who want to but TRY info on their site, but haven’t seen it.. So it’s sort of wrong. Now, I’m not saying I’m very good at explaining things (I so am not), but I’ve seen it and I’ll try my best, okay? Seriously, here!

Here we go! Ano... To get started, Val is an ancient Dragon. The Gold Dragons (Filia’s Race.. I hate you Filia! HOW I HATE YOU!! ^_^;;; I’m not a big Filia fan..) killed Val’s race in its entirety... Mainly because the Ancient Dragons refused to participate in the Kouma Wars (Loong time ago), and the Gold Dragons felt that they were holding back an important and powerful weapon. Actually, they are holding back a weapon (The light bow-thingy, the last weapon of Darkstar, which I’ll get into later).

BUT! It’s not because they want to be the most powerful, it’s because they’re afraid of the destruction the weapon will cause if it falls in to the wrong hands. So, the Ancient Dragons put a strong sealing spell on it, so that no matter what happens, the seal on the weapon will not be broken, and no one can get it... And so, the Gold Dragons, who are actually pretty jealous of the power and don’t feel that the Ancient Dragons “have the right to possess such power” attack them and kill them all. Except, of course, for Val. They sort of left him in this deserted-looking land of some sort, I guess, because they either didn’t see him, or figured that in the shape he was in, he’d die anyway. By the way, I have to mention that though a little beat up, Val still looked so cool! He always looks so cooool!

^.^; Ehrm hem. Back to the story. So, anyway, we have the mourning little Val left to die, when along comes Gaav. Now, as I see it, Gaav was never a bad guy, he just had really, really ugly lips. I mean, his lips define ugly... but seriously, it’s Lina and Xellos and everyone else that were bad! I mean, Gaav was rebelling against the Mazoku, and the Mazoku were trying to destroy the world... So if they’re trying to kill Gaav, they’re preventing someone from preventing the world from being destroyed... right? RIGHT?! ^.^; But that was in Next, and I’m talking about Try.

Now, let me clear this part up. I talk to sooooo many poor, misguided people who haven’t seen Try and think that Val hates Gaav for turning him into a Mazoku... this is so wrong! SO WRONG! Gaav explains to Val that he’s in the same sort of situation, and he can see eye to eye with him... So he offers to kill him and let him be reborn as a Mazoku, so he can a) become his minion-type dude and b)get his own revenge. Val is a little untrusting and hesitant at first, but he then accepts. Gaav kills him, and you have instant Mazoku! (With 12 essential vitamins and minerals!)

For this, Val practically worships Gaav. He really, really liked the guy. I mean, I would, too, if it weren’t for his ugly lips, but that’s beside the point. I just wanted to clear that up. Val does not hate Gaav, he never will hate Gaav, and he never did hate Gaav. Val likes Gaav a lot. There we go. Seriously!

Back to the whole “I-hate-everyone-because-you-destroyed-my-whole-race” thing. Val is seriously a depressed little guy. Lina and Fibby-chan and Xellos all contributed to the downfall of Gaav, so besides hating the Gold Dragons, he hates them, too. He pretty much hates everyone. I mean, you can’t blame him! Seriously! Val has no one but his two minions, Jiras and Grabos(who he pretends not to like, but I think seriously cares for), and pretty much nothing to live for. He’s not afraid of dying, he doesn’t care about dying, and he wants to destroy everything, including himself. He’s sort of like Fibby-chan, only he’s a lot cooler, a lot taller, and, um, yeah.

To achieve his goal of ending everything, Val wants to summon Darkstar. The best way I can explain Darkstar is comparing him to Shabby-sama. He’s like, the master evil dude of the other world, only he’s gone totally crazy and destroys everything he sees. But Val wants him in the Slayers world. To get him there, you have to collect the weapons needed to summon him, go to this Pillar of Light place, and Ta-daa! You have instant Darkstar! (With 12 essential vitamins and minerals!)

Now, maybe this seems totally confusing to you, so let’s back up and just verify everything. Val’s whole race was destroyed by the Gold Dragons, Gaav saved him and allowed him to be reborn as a Mazoku, and Val now hates everyone, and wants to destroy the world in it’s entirety by summoning the Dark Lord, Darkstar. To do this, he needs to collect certain weapons. Wow, how did I turn that into 9 paragraphs? Seriously! ^.^;

But wait, there’s more. I have to go into detail about the weapons needed to summon Darkstar, of course! ^__^ The two weapons needed to actually summon him are the Golu Nova (Or Gorn Nova, however you want to spell it..), also known as Gourry’s Sword of Light. The other one is the Lagno Remesis, this huge stick-type thing with a blue beam coming out of each end. You see Val carrying it around in a lot of his pictures. Now, keep this in mind. Those are just the two you need to summon Darkstar. You still need three more. Two of them are carried by Serius and Elrobos, these two funky-looking guys from Darkstar’s world, and the last one is that Light bow thing, Garbera (I THINK), the weapon you actually use to defeat Darkstar.

Now, to get the weapons, Val teams up with Alumace, a guy from Darkstar’s world who’s annoying and dull as he is tall. Alumace lies to Val and tells him that he can have his revenge, and they will summon Darkstar, if Val helps him out with getting the weapons. Actually, Alumace wants to get ALL the weapons, not just the two summoning ones, so that he can summon Darkstar, and then break his power into five parts. That way, Darkstar will stop destroying everything is his world, and it won’t harm the Slayers World. But, too bad for Alumace... Val is too powerful for him, and he gets the two weapons, and summons Darkstar.

I used to think Shabby-sama was the cutest thing in the world, but then I saw Darkstar. It’s cute. Very cute. And it’s very destructive. So, once summoned, Val, who is standing right near the gate, willingly and quite happily offers to be Darkstar’s first sacrifice. Remember, people, Val wants to destroy everything, including himself. And so, Darkstar begins to enter the Slayers world. Just begins to, mind you! He’s not destroying everything, yet, because, with Darkstar, comes instant Serius and Elrobos! (Now with 12 essential vitamins and minerals!) They seal off the gate just in time, but now that it’s been opened, there’s no way of telling when it will open again. Get it? Got it? GOOD! ^__^

So, yada yada yada, half the series passes, with Lina and Co. trying to get the Garbera (which I will call “Light Bow”, because it’s easier to say), Alumace, Serius, and Elrobos trying to get the Light Bow, and Xellos trying to get the light bow. No big competition. Xellos gets the Light bow.

And…. blah, blah, blah, there’s a big fight, and of course, Lina all of the weapons and defeats. But what about Val-chan? Is it possible that a Slayers villain can actually live? …Well, judging by the fact that half the villains Lina ever defeats are reincarnated in some way, yes. But Val is different! He actually stays alive for good! After the fight, all these feathers start to fall from the sky, and Val is reborn in the form of a cute little eggy. Filia raises him in her pottery shop, and everyone is happy! The end! ^_^

.....Wow, that was long. I left out the entire end battle, but seriously, I don’t think you really wanted to hear the WHOLE thing. Anyway, I don’t think there’s anything else I can possible say, sooooo..

You won't have to hear my singing if you go home...
