All right, before I start this off, I’d like to say that no matter who you’d like to see Xellos with, or no matter how “perfect” you think they are for each other, it will never, EVER work. I’ve been trying to explain this to my Xel/Lina obsessed friend for, like, ever.. Xellos is a Mazoku. He feeds off negative feelings. He does not fall in love. Case closed. I mean, seriously! Even if he could fall in love, his job would get in the way. I mean, he has to kill whoever Zelas orders him to. And he’s totally willing to do so. Even if he doesn’t seem like it sometimes, Xellos is extremely nasty. No way he could ever fall in love with anyone in the show..
And if they could, here’s some food for thought.... Actually, no, but it’s something to think about. The form that Xellos is in throughout the Slayers series isn’t really his real form.. His real form is on a different plain, and looks nothing like the human form he takes.. You know, come to think of it.. How do we even know that Xellos is really male? Alright, maybe I’m going a little too far..
But, seriously, here’s my opinions on each couple, even though none of them would work...
Well, mine are in aqua, Danie-chan’s are in that violet-ish color.
Xellos and Lina: Okay, seriously here. I don’t know why everyone likes this couple. First I hear: “He kissed her!” That was to annoy her, and nothing more. I don’t hear all you Xel/Lina couple freaks telling people: “He knocked her to the ground just to get the Garbera!” or “He offered to kill her with his own two hands to get Val to join the Mazoku!” Even though he said those things, too. Xellos has no feelings for Lina at all. She simply seems to be in the same place as him at the same time. They don’t work together; they’re enemies, in fact, and he’s ready to willingly kill her at any given time. It just doesn’t work. Besides, Lina and Gourry are so cute together.
As the Xel/Lina obsessed friend, I have to say they’d go together so well. First of all, they’re both very powerful. Lina doesn’t seem intimidated by Xelloss, and visa versa. So they could get into arguments, and they’d be more evenly matched than say, Xelloss and Martina. Xelloss is a sadist, and seems to enjoy pain, and Lina has violent tendencies. See? Perfect! She smacks him, and he gets a rise off of it.
Yeah, but she’s not too happy when she gets beat up by him! Lina likes to be in charge! She can’t be with Xelloss! DUUUUH!
Xellos and Gourry: Uh... No? He’s a little too stupid. Actually, way to stupid. Too stupid to even be effected by Xellos’s jokes. Which would not please Xel very much at all. Sure, they have their cute moments, like in Next when Gourry commented on Xel’s age, but that’s about all they have going for them. And besides that, Gourry isn’t gay. Like I’ve said before, Xellos could very well be gay or bisexual... (that is, if he was able to actually have feelings for someone, at all..), but you can’t really be sure...
This one scares me. I can not see this ever being possible. The only thing I can see between Gourry and Xelloss, is Xel using him as a punching bag of some sort or the like. Gourry does make a good straight man though…but then of course, he couldn’t hook up with Xel (yes, I know it’s a bad pun). They’d just be horrible together.

Xellos and Zel: I pretty much explained this one on my Zel coupledom page... To sum it up, I’d like to see it a lot. Very amusing.
Not happening. Zelgadiss can’t stand Xel, why would he ever hop into bed with him? Although it would be pretty funny…Xel would probably be a bit of a tease. He could put some sexual innuendo into his teasing, and then we’d get to see Zel blush more which would be so kawaii. So, I think they’d be funny, if it ever happened.
Xellos and Amelia: The Princess of Justice and the utterly sadistic Mazoku.. Totally opposites... But.. They definitely have their cute moments. Like the Brass Rackets tournament, and the infamous megaphone Life is Wonderful speech.. And she even was nice enough to hold him up while he was recuperating from the mental attack! Alright, maybe she had him in a choke hold, but she was still holding him up, RIGHT?I think they would make the cutest couple! ~*hides behind a rock as various objects are thrown from all directions*~ Seriously! I’m not saying it will ever happen, because I know it will never work, but hey! I think they’re really cute together, and you can’t change that! So nyaaah on you.
I love this couple! You get to make all those light and darkness analogies, and say things like “darkness needs some light” or “Let me bring a bit of justice into your life”. Not only are they adorable together, but Amelia is always so sweet, and, as they say, opposites attract (who are they anyway? And how would “they” know?).
Yeah, who are They? …Now you made me start thinking again…
Xellos and Valgarv: The only couple capable of topping Xellos and Zelgadiss. This is a good one. I can’t explain why, it’s just good. Maybe it’s because they’re complete enemies, maybe it’s because of those I’m not sure…I think they’d be cute if they weren’t always trying to kill each other. They’re my 2 favorite characters, and I’d like to see them together. But there’s absolutely no chance of this happening, considering what happens to Val at the end of Try. Actually, there’s no chance anyway, since they’re bitter enemies. But I guess they could fight in bed….and what a fight that would be. Anyway, there is a nice contrast between the two of them, and it would be hilarious if they got together.
Xellos and Filia: Xel’s relationship with Filia is just like the one he has with Lina. Filia pretends not to like him, but I think deep down she does.. And she’s also the only one that can actually annoy him. Did you see those faces he made when she first started calling him Naganomi? “Raw Garbage? Raw Garbage? Where the hell do you get raw garbage from?!” He did NOT look happy. But, again, he probably was just pretending. He does that a lot. Even so, he’s totally willing to kill her. Yeah, it’s fun to watch them fight with each other, but.. Well, he doesn’t love her. You don’t hold people you have serious feeling for as a hostage... right? RIGHT?! Okay, I know this is a popular couple, but he doesn’t like her, even though she probably likes him.
Nope. I don’t like it. They’re bitter enemies, just out to kill each other, with Xelloss trying to get a rise out of Filia. And I don’t believe in the “true hate is really love underneath” theory. Filia would spend all her time pretending she didn’t like him, and smacking him with mace-sama, which is what she does anyway. Even if they did like each other, they could never be together anyway. This isn’t Romeo and Juliet people. But since they don’t, that’s not a problem. Xelloss just can’t seem to take being insulted by a dragon, the enemy of his race.
What’s up with you and “Bitter Enemies”?
Xellos and Nahga: They don’t really know each other. If they did, I think Nahga would be a little too conceited to let Xellos get to her, though.
Agreed. Xel would probably throw her into a cell, and use her laugh as a secret weapon or something.
Aww, that’s a little too harsh on poor Nahga-chan..
Xellos and Martina: I like Martina... I thought they were a cute couple, actually, despite what everyone else thinks. Seriously! She really liked him, and even risked her life to save him from Gaav! You could see how scared she was, but she still had She couldn’t have liked him that much. I mean, as soon as she spotted Zangulus, she married him! And although she is a bit (okay, a big) flirt, I don’t think she’d go back on her marriage. I bet she would have tried to marry “Master Xelloss” if she could, but it wouldn’t have worked. He doesn’t really like her, he just humors her in a way.
Xellos and Shiefiell: AYYYYEEEEAAAAAHHH! No no no! This is the most pathetic Slayers couple I could possibly think of! She’s so lame, and peace loving , and weak, and shy! She’d burst into tears every time Xellos even began to make fun of her. She’s just so lame! I can’t stand her! Make it stop!!
Can he kill Shiefiell? Will he? Please? Because I think they’d make a perfect couple, especially if he killed her. Actually, if anyone killed her. Please!
Xellos and Zangulus: They never really get to know each other. I don’t think Zangulus gets annoyed very easily, though, so they probably would be no fun to watch. I’m not saying this would be a bad couple, but it wouldn’t be a good one, either..
Well, I don’t think they ever really interacted, and Zangulus is married to Martina. I’m sure she’d get very jealous if her husband cheated on her with her past crush. And Zangulus’s catch phrase “DIE” does seem to match Xelloss’s opinion, but that doesn’t mean they’d make a good couple. Zangulus would probably be too obsessed with stalking and beating Gourry in the long run anyway.
Xellos and Jirasu: Yeah, yeah, I have my opinions on Xel and Jirasu, but not on Xel and Grabos... Mainly because Jirasu is sooo much more kawaii and I like him a LOT better! Anyway, Xel and Jirasu don't talk much, and besides, Xel is mean to Val, and therefore, Jirasu wouldn't like him very much. Actually, I think Jirasu and Filia make a reeeeally cute couple... but that's sort of messed up and I don't think I'll get into it... ^__^;
Xellos and Rezo: Both are priests... Both never open their eyes... Both have purple hair... both are in some way connected to Mazoku.. Both carry staffs... But they wouldn’t make a good couple. They seem more like evil twins.
Isn’t Rezo dead? Well, even if he was still alive, I think he might try to make Xel into a chimera or something. Not that Xel would put up with that of course. I can’t really see them as a couple, mainly because Rezo might be too obsessed with his eyes to do other things. He also might try to be the one in control, because he holds part of Xelloss’s master, and then things could get nasty.
I want a Xel Chimera!
Xellos and Vrumegun: Um, no. It’s no fun. Due to Vrumegun’s dull nature, Xel wouldn’t really be able to fool around with him much... this is boring.
Where’s the appeal? They have nothing in common, nothing at all…nothing..
Xellos and Gaav: Ano... ^.^; They’d probably rip each other apart. Literally. They hate each other. And both are too power-hungry to be able to deal with the other one. It’s just a scary thought.
Actually, I think this one might be fun. Although, I’m pretty sure Xel wouldn’t want to kiss Gaav’s big fat chicken lips. Gross.
His lips aren’t THAT bad… Okay… I take it back..
Xellos and Fibby-chan: No. Never. No way. They’re both evil, and they’re both cool (thought Xel is much cooler), but in a love affair? Xellos and Hellmaster? Let’s get serious here. Seriously.
That’s gross. I mean, Phibby takes the form of a little kid most of the time! That would just be sick.
I like spelling it “Fibby”.
Xellos and Shabranigdo: Shabranigdo is Xel’s master, so if Shabby was feeling anything towards Xel, I don’t think Xel would really have a choice... But then again, I also don’t think Shabby swings that way. It would be interesting, to say the least.
Can shabby do that? And Shabby would have more control of the relationship, because he is Xel’s master. That could make things a bit awkward at times. Plus, have you ever looked at his usual form? His mouth doesn’t even move! You could get your mouth torn apart by fangs trying to kiss him!
Xellos and Darkstar: Wow. No. And does Darkstar even HAVE a sex? I mean, he sure doesn’t look like it. And neither does Shabby, but still... Um... no.
Hehe…no.

faces Xel makes while stabbing Val.. But this so works in my head. I know neither of those things have anything to do with being a couple, but... well.. They look good together too! Picture it in your head! I just really like this one, for an unexplainable reason. There’s something so appealing about guys who totally hate each other being in a relationship, and I don’t know why..
faith in Zoamelgustar, who had proven to be fake many times before, just because she didn’t want to see Xellos get hurt. Xellos even saved her that one time.. And he does let her hang all over him.. But still, Xellos is Xellos, and Martina is married, so it wouldn’t work, even if I think it’s cute.
