WARNING! Contains minor SLAYERS TV Spoilers!

Whenever I talk to someone about Zelgadiss who hasn't watched the Slayers, and i show them a picture of him, I always get the same question: "Why does he look so weird?" They always get the same answer: I smack them on the head (It's the Bacterial Slap, Dana!) and scream: "He's not weird you loser!" Well anyway, I decided to stick Zel's story on my page and tell why he looks so 'weird'.

First of all, Zel didn't always look like that. He was born a human. The only relative of his I know of was the all mighty Rezo the Red Priest *cough!incest!cough* . Rezo is Zelly's grandpa. And possibly Great-grandfather as well... O.o He has cool hair, but that's the only possitive comment I have about him.. I mean, the guy never even opens his eyes (which really annoys me, for some reason..). Plus, he's mean to Zel. AND... well I'd better not even get into this right now, I could go on forever.

Well anyway, back to Zel. I guess Zel was maybe jelous of Rezo, or something like that, because all he wanted was power. Personally, I thought he was powerful enough already. I mean, he really is a great swordsman and all. And so kawaii! But anyway, he just kept begging Rezo to make him more powerful. So, Rezo finally granted his grandson's wish.

But he was really unfair about it! He turned our (MY!)Zel into a chimera. Poor Zel! He's part blue demon (mazoku?), part golem, and part human.

Personally, I don't think this is that bad. Because he is part Golem, his skin is made of stone. So no weapon can harm him (except for the sword of light, owned by his friend Goury). Okay, maybe some weapons can, but I'm talking swords and stuff. And, despite that fact that he's made of stone, he's extrordinarily fast (And not to mention good-looking!). And, he's part human, so he's not too freakish. Though I don't think he's freakish at all. In the words of Amelia, he looks so cool! And you can't forget that Zel knows magic, is good with a sword, and lots of other stuff too. So he's like, practically invincible. (Okay, so magic can harm him, but so what? And he's almost gotten his self killed tons of times, but so what?) Except for that fact that Rezo can hypnotize him and stuff. But Rezo's dead now! HAH!

So why is Zel mad? He doesn't like the way he looks. Poor Zelly is (Was, he's pretty much gotten over it) afraid to go into large cities, and used to wear something to cover his face up. Thankfully, he doesn't wear it anymore.. ^_____^

He pretending to work for Rezo for a while, but after ditcing him, Zel decided to join forces with Lina and company.. It was like a little anti-Rezo group! Zel wanted more than anything then to get revenge on Rezo and to turn himself back to normal. This is the point where I'll just shut up and say that half the series passes, and Rezo is possessed but Ruby-eye Shabrandigdo somewhere along the line. Luckily, Rezo is dead now ... And Zel is still a chimera! (Thank God!)
