I have had such comfort by knowing that many of my tree friends know far more of this Earth Mother than I do. They have been here, watching, learning and speaking to the two-legged and four-legged for all times! But have we listened?? They have learned how to withstand much rugged weather...with roots deep and swaying branches, even trunks at times...so that they do not break. This they have passed on to me.
I love to lay my hand upon the trees, after asking permission , of course. I have heard much wisdom and truth as I concentrate on listening. Trees never die, they simply change their form...but they still have many things to tell, things to pass on, so prayerfully creating objects with wood, help to enable these Tree People to gain access to the persons they have messages for. Just recently at a powwow, a young boy, maybe 10-12 was curiously looking at one of the walkingsticks that my son "Shyne" crafted. He studied it, felt it, for a very long time...as I viewed the boy, as I listened to Spirit, I knew this Tree Person has a message for that boy and wanted to journey with him....we made sure the boy left with the stick...!!!!
This is what's important...the passing on of the message...and our Tree People have messages for us....they are desperately attempting to get to those who will receive.......will you help them? Will you listen and act?
This is my experiences, will not attempt to say that this is legend or tradition, but I have had wonderful things happen to me in the presence of my friends, the trees!
