For six years now we've watched Julianna portray the role of nurse Carol Hathaway on TV's #1 show, ER. For six years, we the fans have been engrossed. Waiting to see what would happen next. Would she recover from her suicide attempt? Would she and Doug make it? Were her children going to be boys or girls? And, what was with Luka?
Ever since the premiere of ER on September 19, 1994, we the fans have been mesmorized by Carol Hathaway. After watching for awhile, most of us realized that there was no way any actress other than Julianna could play the role.
And now, after 6 years, it's over. Julianna's final episode of ER aired on May 11, 2000. During her final episode, the Carol Hathaway character realized she needed to know if Doug Ross (George Clooney), stilled loved her, as she still loved him. So, she flew to Seattle, to find that he infact did still love her.
So, thank you Julianna. Thank you for the 6 years you have entertained us and made our Thursday nights just a little bit better. I know I, as many other fans will continue to watch ER, but it will never be the same.
