Irresistible-CHAPTER NINE
"Aren't you scared people might see us?" Adrianne asked, "The press would have a field day with this."
Nick kissed her, "I don't care what other people think. I love you."
Adrianne changed into a pair of black dress up pants and a blue sweater.
The first place Adrianne and Nick went to was a small restaurant by the water.
"This place is beautiful." Adrianne said.
"So are you." Nick said, rubbing his hand against her arm.
After they ordered their food, Nick handed Adrianne a small black box. When Adrianne opend it, she saw a beautiful silver bracelet with diamonds around it.
Adriane gasped as she putit on, "Oh my god! Nick you didn't have to get me this. It must have been so expensive."
"It's ok" Nick said, "I wanted to get it for you."
Nick reached under the table and held Adrianne's hand. Just as he was about to kiss her, a waiter came with their food. Once the waiter was finally gone, Nick kissed Adrianne.
"Nick can I ask you a question?" Adrianne asked.
"Of course" Nick said.
"The day Brian and I got married" Adrianne began, "I saw the look on your face. Why didn't you stop the wedding and tell me how you felt?"
"I was so afraid of how you'd react." Nick said, "I was scared that if I said something, you'd be mad and never wanna see me again."
"I could never be mad at you." Adrianne replied, "I love you."
"What will we tell Brian when he gets back?" Nick asked.
"The truth" Adrianne said.
Adrianne got up and gently grabbed Nick's hand, "Come with me."
She led Nick to a bathroom in the back of the restaurant. When Adrianne saw that no one was in there, she and Nick went in and locked the door. Adrianne started reaching up Nick's shirt.
"Baby, here?" Nick asked, "What if someone catches us?"
Adrianne silenced him with her lips. Nick pulled down Adrianne's pants and took off her shirt. He then layed Adrianne down and reached behind her and unsnapped her bra. He kissed up and down Adrianne's spine. All of a sudden Nick noticed something that he hadn't before. On Adrianne's upper back, there was a fairly noticeable scar.
"Why is there a scar on your back? Did Brian do that?" Nick asked.
Adrianne was a little hesitant before she spoke, "Yeah"
"I thought you said Brian never hit you." Nick said.
"He hasn't." Adrianne said, "Technically"
Nick started to freak out, "What do you mean technically?"
