10 lane wide Queens Blvd., one of the nation's widest secondary roads, rumbles over the BQE in Woodside. as opposed to the stretch of Queens Blvd running from Elmhurst through to Jamaica, which is dominated by apartment houses, stores and office buildings, this section is dominated by auto services and dealers. It has traditionally been the worst maintained stretch and was the last to be deprived of it's incandescent lighting and castiron twinlamp poles, well into the 70's. Shot in the spring 1998.
